What I love most about my job is seeing the transformation we can make to both a property and the lives of the people living in it.
Many of the homes we visit are suffering from damp, mould, condensation, and poor living conditions that can affect not only the building itself but also the health and wellbeing of the occupants. I have a genuine passion for identifying the root cause of these problems and turning damp, unhealthy properties into safe, warm, dry homes that people can be proud to live in.
There is nothing more rewarding than revisiting a property that was once affected by severe damp and mould and seeing it transformed into a healthy living environment for a family, homeowner, or tenant. Knowing that our work helps improve people's quality of life is what drives me and my team every day.
For me, it's not just about fixing buildings—it's about creating healthier homes and making a real difference to the people who live in them.
What inspired you to start your own business?
What inspired me to start my own business was a desire to raise standards within the damp proofing industry and provide customers with honest advice and long-term solutions rather than quick fixes.
After spending many years working within the industry, I saw too many properties being treated for the symptoms of damp rather than the root cause. Homeowners and landlords were often spending significant amounts of money only to find the problem returned because the underlying issue had never been properly diagnosed.
I wanted to create a company that focused on doing things properly. A company built on knowledge, integrity, quality workmanship, and genuine customer care.
I have always had a passion for property preservation and take great satisfaction in solving complex damp, mould, condensation, and water ingress problems. What motivates me most is transforming damp, cold, unhealthy properties into safe, warm, and healthy homes where people can live comfortably and with confidence.
Today, that same passion continues to drive NW Damp & Mould Specialists Ltd. Every project is an opportunity to improve a property, protect an investment, and make a positive difference to the lives of the people living there.
