Natures Aquascapes Ponds and Water Features

Being Deaf, I struggled to get local people who clean ponds to help me. Most only reply if you phone..... however this gentleman happily communicated vias Facebook messenger and gave me the best advice. Highly recommend this guy.

Happy with the service provided by William. He managed to clean a lot of the sludge that was sitting at the bottom of the pond. Also he jet washed the fountains which was covered with black sludge & also jet washed the hundreds of stones that cover the fountain.William was very knowledgeable & offered great advice on ongoing maintenance. William was very helpful and quick to respond. He understood our challenge immediately and gave free ideas for how we might address it, site unseen. The investment we made in the site consultation was well worth it. We have a neglected pond and wanted ideas for what to do with it and how it could be achieved. We think William knew better than us what the best options were. We agreed on a number of options and the pros and cons of each. We felt William was looking for our best option rather than trying to sell us a project, all too often what happens.Subsequently we decided to remove the pond and return it to planting, a decision we felt William helped us to arrive at. The task was to clean up and restart an old custom built garden waterfall that had been neglected for six months. It was absolutely filthy. William turned up at the agreed time on a Sunday morning. When we moved into our new home almost a year ago, we inherited a pond along with a few problems I knew nothing about! After searching online, I found William at Natures Aquascapes Ponds and Water Features, and I’m so glad I did. From our first detailed conversation, it was clear he knew his stuff. He recommended a full pond reset, which involved draining, cleaning, removing the buildup, and installing a new filter pump. While waiting for the appointment, my air pump also failed. William was quick to respond, explaining why it needed urgent attention (especially in the late summer heat), and provided a simple solution that I could handle myself. On the day of the visit, William was personable, calm, and professional. He took great care of the fish during the process and left me with a sparkling clean pond, a new filter system, and a clear plan for ongoing care. He also took the time to explain everything so I actually understand my pond now! Thanks to his knowledge, kindness, and patience, I’ve already booked a follow-up in March for a maintenance clean and a second phase where we’ll add more plants to naturally balance the ecosystem. From the very beginning Will was not only professional but had empathy for our own wishes. He listened carefully and provided suggestions too - so that when we accepted his quote, we were confident we would get what we wanted. Will - along with his ‘support crew’ of Alex & Callum - worked tirelessly on a very hot weekend, having to deal with hard soil & clay! And yet no complaints or grumbles, they all worked hard and in harmony, making it a pleasant experience for us as home owners too. The transformation over the weekend was outstanding and we are completely overwhelmed with the achievement. We had a holiday booked just after the pond was installed .. on our return it was the first thing we checked. We didn’t even unlock the house!! We’ve now added tadpoles and have enjoyed seeing birds around and in the pond too. Our 15 yr old pond, stream and fountain has not been touched for five years and was looking very sad. We had nearly decided to get it filled in when we found Williams web site which specifically included a deep clean and then ongoing maintence. Most of the other companies we got in touch with were only interested in selling us a new pond. William spent most of a day with us last weekend and has brought the whole area back to life with a thorough clean and a rearrangement of the rocks, stones and plants. It now looks fantastic again. This work included a deep clean of the two pond pumps and also the auto filter and a new UV bulb. We are over the moon and have agreed William will visit every 6 months to maintain the pond. William is very knowledgeable in terms of the plants and whole eco system around the pond. He comes highly recommended by us. More...

He invited me to join him in visiting a similar feature he's designed and built and also visited my home, to view the garden and its available space. Its a "new build" house with a flat, unremarkable patch of earth out the back, into which I very much wanted to bring some character and texture. I wanted a water cascade which would look natural, to soften the harsh, square lines and just bring a bit of character and life into an otherwise barren landscape. William achieved that for me. He worked within my budget and didn't disappoint. He's kept in touch periodically to check that all is well - and its very reassuring to know that he's there and contactable should I need any support with it in the future.
