What do you love most about your job?
With both owners being highly creative, they love the fact we can start with nothing and end up with something. Working with the owner, they love the challenge of understanding the brief, challenging and adding value to that initial idea, constructing it to a high level of quality and seeing the look of joy and excitement on the owners face once completed.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The lockdown of 2020 was a moment for both directors. In a previous life, one director was a university lecturer and the other a creative graphic design director.
Having struggled to get back into full employment it gave them the opportunity to start and complete a number of projects around the house and remind them both of their love for design, construction and quality which was built up over 18 years of avid DIY'ing.
Their passion for DIY was created when they purchased their first house and wanted the 'high quality finish' and found they could afford the materials, but not the labour. So out of necessity they brought the tools and took the time to perfect their skills.
Over the years both owners have helped friends and family with various projects and through that discovered a real passion for helping other by taking their ideas, turning them into reality; while ensuring a high quality results where delivered within budget.
Why should our clients choose you?
We are a married (gay) couple, we know what it is like to be 'fobbed off' or 'over-charged' for what sometimes seems to be basic work. For better or worse, we are honest, transparent and open with everyone we meet and we will not over-reaching ourselves by making any form of promises we cannot keep. If a project was ever too high for us or our team we would say and not attempt to take on something that we would struggle with. In addition our reputation means everything to us, so we will only take on projects where we know we can deliver on both cost and quality - as post completion we want to feel proud we have delivered an outstanding project so that we can then (with your permission) take photographs and share on our social media platforms.

Apart from our design services, the bulk of our services can only be delivered on-site at the client property.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
In the event of working at locations where 'at risk' clients are present we are more than happy to distance ourselves where practically possible and or take regular tests to ensure we are negative.
In the event of client becoming ill, we would see if work could continue by distancing ourselves. In reverse if one of us became ill but felt we were still well enough to attend work, if we can safely distance ourselves we would remain on site. However if the risk was deemed too high for any party, then we would not attend the site until all parties are free from any potential risks.
Interior Design
We can help you visualise your plans - in most cases, if required, we can sketch a basic 3D pencil drawing while sitting with you. Our understanding of the construction process means we only suggest things that are achievable. We will provide suggestion options on where funds should be invested and where funds can be saved, meaning you will get a high quality design that is respectful to any set budget.
Bathroom Fitting
From a simple and practical to high-end luxury fit-outs; we are able to plan, build and complete your bathroom project. This includes all plumbing connections (both water feeds and soil pipes), wall and floor tiling. We can also do (1st fit) electrical installation in readiness for live connection.
Doors, Flooring & Skirting Boards
We can lay laminate flooring, carpet and solid oak flooring. In addition to this we can hang doors and fit skirting boards.
Strip out
With nearly all projects there will be an element of 'stripping out' of old fixtures, fittings and features. This can range from old plaster works, ceilings, installations, electrical cabling, pipeworks. The waste then needs to be responsibly managed and removed from site. Depending on the works involved, we will be able to help with most 'strip out works'. Where possible to reduce waste we will see how any waste items can be recycled, up-cycled, sold on or donated.
Painting, Decorating and Wallpapering
Once any major construction works to a room or property have been completed, the fun task of 'decorating' begins. Should you need it, we can help you choose colour combinations, room layouts, design features and suggest ideas to maximum your space. Once decided upon, we will set to work on making your dreams reality and careful decorate the space.
Kitchen Design and Fitting
They say the heart of the home is the kitchen and with any installation it has to be perfect and practical.
Prior to the purchase or bespoke production of any units, we can advise on the best way to make maximum use of your space. During this process we can identify where gas, electrical and water connections need to be placed.
Once the space has been stripped and any new service connections installed, we can construct and fit kitchen units and fit them into position in readiness for worktops and fixtures and fittings to be added.
Subject to the type of worktops being installed we can either fit; or subcontract the fitting to one of our trusted partners.
If required, we can offer a 'bespoke service' where custom kitchen designs and units can be made; along with a stone reseller where you can pick your own materials (Granite / Marble) if you want something a little different.
Groundworks / Fences / Decking / Patio / Planting / Gazebos
We have teamed up with a hard landscaping company which together we are able to provide a variety of services for your outdoor spaces. To date we have designed, constructed and installed, fences, gates, decking, patios, gazebos and can provide planting up of spaces. Some installations have required 'hard core' / 'permanent' solutions often with bricks and concrete - we are able to provide this as part of our service pack.
Interior Plastering
We can offer interior plastering. This can be a simple 'finishing' coat added to existing (re-skimming) or a complete strip and removal back to original wall lining and then re-rendering and re-plastering to a smooth finish.
In some case simple repairs are only required and depending on what is required we can assist.
We currently do not do heritage or decorative plasterwork or any 'lime plasterwork' as these are highly specialist professions.
French Polishing
We can do french polishing in Black, White (clear) and Brown shellac.
