I recently (mid March 2026) employed My Homecare Milton Keynes for my father who has dementia as well as other health issues as we were not happy with previous company. From the initial consultation I was very impressed. The professionalism, holistic assessment, compassion and respect shown by the manager and carers was 2nd to none. It shows every time I visit dad. He states that he is very pleased with them. His whole demenure has improved. His mind is clearer, most days you wouldn't think he has dementia. He looks happy and contented. He hasn't complained to me at all.They initiated lunchtime walks and I have really noticed a massive difference to his mood and he is so grateful that he is able to have regular walks without rushing, feeling confident, safe and satisfied. He was desperate for some form of regular exercise that wasn't chair based. Thank you for initiating this.His home always looks and smells clean. They take time to sit and chat with him regularly, they talk with him about things he is interested in which helps him to engage, something he never really experienced previously.Yes it's early days but I felt I had to give them some recognition as we are so much more relaxed as a family. Thank you for everything you do for dad, you have relieved my worry and I don't feel the need to be there as often as before.The peace of mind, communication and compassion are 100%.Would definitely highly recommend your company to others. What do you love most about your job?
There are many things that I love about this role. I particular enjoy meeting and interreacting with new people and gain great satisfaction from being able to provide assistance and support to others in their time of need. This is my dream role as NO two days are the same and one has the opportunity to provide a quality service that enhance the life of others. What inspired you to start your own business?
A passion for providing high quality care to the most vulnerable within our society. Having worked within the NHS for the last thirty years I wanted to work in a environment with less bureaucracy but with a keen focus on client care and the service users' well being.
I also wanted to create a happy and harmonious working environment where staff are well trained, well supported and fairly remunerated
