I had the opportunity to use Nag’s Metta Design services for a structural survey of the house I recently purchased, as well as for the structural design and calculations for a full remodeling and wraparound extension.
I found him to be extremely helpful, professional, and detail-oriented throughout the process. His steel beam design was not only flawless but also highly impressive to both myself and the builder, clearly reflecting the precision of his meticulous structural calculations. As a result of his work, the foundation of my house was significantly strengthened, ensuring a safer and more durable structure going forward.

Overall we were really disappointed with Metta. The guy that originally came to visit the property made a massive mistake in telling us that one of the walls could be knocked down as it wasn’t load bearing. However we later found out this was not the case and could have destroyed our house! We never really felt this massive mistake was acknowledged or even received any apology. This then caused a knock on effect as we had all our trades booked in however we had to wait for further drawings to allow for this steel, which didn’t come for another week and a half although they were promised sooner. Thank you for your review. However, we respectfully disagree, as we do not believe the comments made are accurate. During the inspection, we inspected the structure in accordance with the agreed scope. We advised that during demolition, if any structural concerns or concealed structural elements were discovered, the engineer must be contacted for further advice. One of the walls was only partially exposed at the time of the survey. This is standard industry practice, as an engineer cannot see what is concealed within walls or ceilings when only a small section is exposed during the survey. Hence, we recommended that the area be exposed during demolition and that any structural elements or concerns discovered be reported to the engineer before proceeding. We have completed many similar projects and have never experienced this issue. A qualified builder would normally contact the structural engineer if anything unexpected is uncovered during demolition. We provided the beam design and drawings at no additional cost and within the required timeframe, despite the engineer being on planned annual leave. The engineer also had a meeting with the client late in the evening to help ensure the project continued smoothly. Once a client is on board, they remain our priority, and we always aim to support them throughout the project through to completion and sign-off. The engineer, Nag, was very polite and genuine on introduction and explained what the structural survey would involve when we first spoke over the phone.
He then sent a sample survey to me so that I could see what the final report would look like.
I meet him at the property and he was able to answer many of my questions on site and has answered other queries since sending his report, which was sent about 5 days later. Indeed, he was kind enough explain his findings verbally soon after conducting the survey, before producing his report.
I would use this companies service again.
