The cleaners we have received have always done a good job and follow our requests about how we would like the house to be cleaned.

After raising the request, I was reached out to extremely quickly. Micheala provided a great overview of the company and services offered and ability to assist with my request. I now have it set-up for regular cleaning of the house by Lorriane who is fabulous. Lorriane is friendly, courteous, professional and most importantly understands your requirements, works very hard whilst in the house and ensures the house is spik and span before leaving. Has been great having her and to be able to rely on her on a regular basis. Definitely the best house cleaner we have had in 20 years. I urge you not to use this company. Michaela has no idea about business and fraudulently takes money from your card, claiming that it is for VAT. She has taken £100 from my card without my permission because they failed to register with the inland revenue and are now being charged in arrears. She had my card on file and takes money when she incurs bunnies expenses, claiming it is the clients fault. I urge you to check other reviews, as I see she has done this to most of her clients. She has now added the VAT (after collecting hundreds of pounds from her clients) which means she is charging £39 for 2 hours cleaning. Not competitive rate Michaela. And a number of us have reported your fraudulent taking money to Trading Standards and Action Fraud. We want our money back.

I enquired as the company last summer, on the surface, looks very professional and after speaking with Michaela I thought they sounded that way too. I was a little bit sceptical when Michaela wanted our card details to secure the booking as I wouldn’t usually pay for a service I hadn’t received yet, but we went along with it. The cleaner did not turn up and had allegedly been in an accident. I gave them the benefit of the doubt when they rebooked for the following day. again the cleaner didn’t show, I was really annoyed and asked for a refund and to cancel the service. Michaela tried to say that no refund would be given due to “terms and conditions” on the website!
The cleaner then showed up 40 minutes after the booking time, no apology and when I told her it was too late she kissed her teeth at me and walked off! Low and behold, a couple of hours later ANOTHER payment was taken! After an hour on the phone to the bank fraud team we got our money back.

I urge anyone considering having anything to do with this company to think again.

I’ve had a litany of substandard cleaners and complaints that were never properly addressed. The final straw comes by their attempt to charge me £15 to return the keys to my flat. I’m lost for words. Steer well clear of this lot. More...

Still owed refunds and discounts that were promised. Asked for deep clean of bathroom floor but it was filthy when the cleaner left. When I got back from the gym I was shocked. Company accepted fault and promised a new cleaner for free to fix then backtracked and promised a 20% discount and never processed it. Then have charged me for cleanings that did not happen. Been using Maid in the UK for a few months now and we are very pleased and happy with the service provided.
