Jan has been a fantastic help with our son Otto who had fallen behind at school whilst waiting on his ADHD diagnosis. He has really enjoyed his weekly sessions with Jan over the last year to the point where he has now caught up across the board. She has mainly focused on his handwriting and punctuation but is able to be flexible and switch it out to a different subject (eg maths this last couple of weeks) if there is a specific thing that he is struggling with in class. We will continue to use Jan in the coming year as its brought him on leaps and bounds and most of all he actually enjoys learning with her. Can't recommend highly enough! 😆 More...

Jan has been absolutely fantastic in supporting our daughter, V, who has struggled with reading and writing after not securing the basics early on. From the start, Jan has worked patiently and thoroughly to rebuild those foundations, helping V to develop a much stronger base from which she can now progress with greater confidence. In addition to her academic support, Jan has also been instrumental in helping us better understand some of the underlying challenges V faces. We’ve long suspected that V may have some form of ADHD or a processing difficulty, and Jan has been able to identify and clearly evidence the specific areas of difficulty - particularly around following verbal instructions. Thanks to her insight and clear communication, we now have a much better picture of how V learns best, and how her school can support her more effectively in the classroom. V’s confidence has grown so much since working with Jan, and she genuinely looks forward to her sessions each week. Jan is incredibly calm, kind, and understanding - the exact sort of person you want guiding your child. Her detailed feedback after every session is hugely appreciated and gives us a clear sense of progress. We contacted Jan after seeing positive reviews online and she has been tutoring our 9 year old daughter this year. Our daughter was behind on maths and had a lack of confidence which meant many homework sessions were filled with tears. After working with Jan our daughter has built her confidence in maths with her teachers showing grades improving and a times table test completed that my daughter felt good about. Jan has been tutoring our daughter twice a week. The first session is maths and the second is English. The English sessions have also helped our daughter catch up on spelling, reading & writing so much so that last week our daughter received a class award for her written story.
