Great experience having Isted Tutoring supporting my daughter through GCSEs. It’s given her more confidence going into exams and renewed her enthusiasm for topics she was finding difficult.
What do you love most about your job?
I love seeing students make improvements and observing them make the breakthroughs so they can move forwards and really learn new things and discover for themselves as organically as possible. I really push my students to discover each new piece of information as independently as they can: this way they retain the information much better. It's a privilege to see a student have a lightbulb moment.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I wanted to be able to provide as much of a bespoke tuition service as I possibly could for my students. I needed the flexibility to have the ability to cater to each student specifically, and so I decided that the best way to do that would be to run the service myself.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have a strong science background, particularly physics, and I have a real passion for bringing out the best in my students and seeing them learn and fulfil their potential.

Online tutoring via Zoom or in person (Oxfordshire), I offer flexible schedules designed to suit you. The online nature of my service means I can be more able to move things to fit you and make adjustments on a far shorter time span . If the session is in person I find that the student can be engaged and focus far better, as there are reduced distractions.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
N/A, my lessons can be scheduled online if necessary so any potential effect of Covid-19 on my tutoring is negated.
