Bradley Davis of Homewood Homes was our agent, when we rented a flat out for two years from 2021 to 2023. He also acted as the project manager for a substantial refurbishment of the flat before we rented it out. His selection and management of the trades people who worked on the flat, his recommendations for suppliers of appliances, and his management of the tenants were all excellent, as were his attention to detail and rapid responsiveness to our queries. Our experience with Homewood Homes has been great and we would definitely recommend this estate agent. Unlike other estate agents, Homewood Homes got to know us personally and were invested in finding properties that facilitated our wants and needs. Additionally, they work with Landlord’s that are fair with their prices and do not encourage bidding wars between potential tenants. I used Homewood homes for a few years and initially they were good. They managed to find tenants and were professional. Unfortunately over the last few years standards seem to have dropped. They redecorated between tenants and the tenants complained about the state of my property. When I visited the property the paint job was appalling, the flat had a considerable problem with mould and the former tenants had replaced a mattress with one it seemed they took from a skip. They did remedy the paint job and this should have been a warning but I continued with them. My last tenants with them removed all my furniture and did a horrendous repaint job. I once again discovered this as Homewood Homes did no inspection. The tenants claimed Homewood Homes said they could remove the furniture. I realised that in all the years they managed my property I never received a single inspection report. I was unhappy with their response to the furniture issue and as I decided to make an official complaint they dropped me. Thier governing body found in my favour. I would not recommend using them. If you do I would insist on regular inspection reports and get your own decorator as theirs was expensive and did a terrible job. More...
