Having had Home Instead recommended by a friend, the Yeovil team looked after my Mother throughout her declining mobility and failing mental capacity. We cannot recommend Home Instead in Yeovil more highly. They provided support and care for my mother in the last two weeks of her life with compassion, efficiency and discretion as well as being a tremendous support to myself and my sister. Mum's condition deteriorated quickly. The situation changed daily and with it the requirements for care. Home Instead, Alexia and Julie, were brilliant at coping with this and at the end were providing 24 hour care. We had a team of six carers who were each introduced personally to mum and ourselves and every one of them became a friend. They rotated and took over from each other seamlessly. The communication was brilliant. They talked to mum, cared for her, gave us hugs and ultimately enabled mum to die peacefully at home as she wanted. We cannot thank them enough. More...

I want to start by extending a massive thank you to Alexia for her prompt visit to my Great Auntie to begin our journey of care with Home Instead. She was extremely professional and a genuinely lovely lady to introduce us to the company. Although my Aunties time with care from Home Instead was short, she absolutely adored the girls that came in to see her every day. They couldn’t do enough for her. Even if she just wanted a hand to hold or to chat for an hour they always undertook her wishes. Under the care of Ness, Claire, Joanne, Genevieve and Katie my Great Auntie had something a little extra to look forward to every day through their visits. Ness, Alexia and Debbie were with me and my Auntie the day she passed and the compassion was just beyond anything I could ever have asked for. The support from the entire team has been amazing and I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking home care. Ness even attended my Aunties funeral which meant the world to me. Thank you so much Home Instead for making Auntie Rita’s last few weeks as comfortable as they could be and Alexia for going above and beyond when I had queries and wanted to introduce further care. I can't say enough positive things about the team at Home Instead. Their compassionate care and unwavering support made such a difference during the last few months of my dad's life. The most appalling, disorganised, unprofessional organisation I have had the misfortune of dealing with. They don’t listen, produce incorrect care plans, get facts wrong time and time again, appalling time keeping, even on the initial visit to compile the care plan. Even when trying to rectify the situation they don’t turn up on time and assume it is okay without asking to turn up late. They assume a lot and make it appear like they are doing you a favour! They are Disrespectful, unprofessional and cause more stress rather than offer support for which they charge an astronomical rate. Don’t be fooled by the CQC rating. More...

Home Instead provided a caring, reliable and proactive service. The person receiving their care was at the forefront of everything they did to ensure a safe and comfortable environment within the house. When circumstances dictated they went above and beyond agreed service levels even including hospital visits. Working for Home Instead has renewed my faith in domiciliary care, from my first meeting with Ashley and Kyleigh I came home excited and confident that we really would be providing great quality care. The minimum 1 hour time slots mean that we as caregivers are never rushed, we aren’t there just to do the basics and rush away again we have time, time to get to know our clients and them us, time to chat, time to engage and time to care. In the months I have been with Home Instead as well as providing personal care and home help, I have been a companion on outings to the library, to church & local café’s for tea and cake. I have sat with clients at appointments & made sure they got home from hospital and settled back at home. Overall providing friendly support and creating an environment where clients can feel confident that they have choices and enabling them to stay as independent as possible.
