I am currently using this company for two services following emergency hip replacement surgery. I have a cleaner (Nicola) and a gardener (David) who are currently working with me.
Nicola is a a very hard working, diligent young woman who is punctual, courteous and just a pleasure have around. The house looks (& smells) amazing after she's been!
David (& his younger brother apprentice) are garden carers for my small, but very precious garden. I am a both a keen and competent gardener, who will be unable to resume my passion for at least 6 moths. David is both knowledgable and skilled (which belies his age), and both young men are 'grafters' who are hugely polite and willing to take on any garden management task assigned. Both services are managed in a very customer-centred and flexible way, which means that response times are swift and meet the needs of the individual. I am utterly delighted with both services. I wouldn’t recommend or use this company ever again I’m afraid to say the 19 year old didn’t even know how to hang washing out or wash my dishes properly even end up breaking my mug and had to be told to do things as she missed out on a lot of things!

Thank you for your review. I would like to take this opportunity to publically point out that this customer is not called ‘Liz’ as advertised. The clean requested was for the room vacuuming and standard clean. Our ‘19 year old’ has worked for the company for 2 years and received nothing but exceptional feedback from her happy regular customers. Due to her completing the clean within the estimated time you then took advantage of the situation by adding extras on that were not in the original specification. She did indeed knock a mug off of your table whilst wrestling with your washing that suddenly needed hanging out, she apologised and offered a replacement which you said was not necessary, so to bring that up is quite underhand. The reason for this poor review is because we have actually refused to visit you again as we would rather spend our time and efforts on customers who appreciate the exceptional service that we provide. You have actually contacted us since to ask for another visit, so again, to say you wouldn’t use us again is a misrepresentation of the facts. On booking the original job red flags were raised when we discovered you had gone through several cleaners, we now understand why. We provide a professional service, but can only do so much. Social distancing was also made impossible by the number of people, not from your household, being present in and out of the garden etc. Not an environment that we wish to revisit. We wish you well, but, I would not recommend you as a customer.

How long have you been in business?
Nearly 6 years. After running a property maintenance business previously for 7 years, we found we were getting lots of requests for cleaning work also so Hawes Property Services was born!
Do you bring your own equipment and supplies?
Yes, unless the customer prefers to use their own products.
What do you love most about your job?
The feeling that we have taken the stress away from the customer. They often lead busy lives and if we can help in some small way then that makes us feel great!
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having used cleaners and maintenance providers in the past, we realised there was a bit of a disconnect between the vision and the reality. We want to bridge that gap, the customer wants a BRILLIANT result for a fair price, with a friendly yet professional person. We try to achieve that.
Why should our clients choose you?
We don’t claim to be the cheapest. You can probably find cleaners and maintenance engineers out there for a few pounds cheaper than us. But we are, and I’m confident in saying this, the best value. You will get truly excellent service for a very fair price. The job will be done, to a great standard, on time and in budget. No surprises, no let downs. The key to what we offer is not simply the services carried out, it’s the exceptional service and communication along the way. Our cleaning staff and maintenance technicians are all brilliant people, not just brilliant workers. Our core value is ‘we’ll take care of it’...and we do.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We, as professional cleaners and maintenance technicians are classed as key workers, and rightly so.
Our cleaning staff have all undergone third party accredited COVID awareness training and carry out a brief risk assessment at each site. They maintain social distancing, use sanitiser and change uniform between each site if they visit more than one in a day.
We also offer antiviral & antibacterial fogging. A great solution to help maintain workplace safety for our customers.
