What I love most about my job is the variety—no two days are ever the same. I enjoy meeting new people, solving practical problems, and seeing the immediate impact of my work. There’s real satisfaction in helping someone move smoothly or get a job done stress-free, knowing they trust me to deliver.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started my man and van business because I wanted the freedom to build something of my own while genuinely helping people. I saw how stressful moving and transporting items can be, and I knew I could offer a reliable, friendly service that people could trust. Being hands-on, meeting different customers every day, and knowing my hard work directly makes someone’s day easier is what really motivates me.

My services are mainly hands-on, so they can’t be fully provided online or remotely. However, I do offer remote support such as online bookings, phone or message consultations, and photo or video assessments to give accurate quotes. This helps clients plan their move efficiently before the job day.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
To keep customers safe from Covid-19, I introduced extra hygiene and safety measures across all jobs. This includes regular hand sanitising, wearing face coverings when requested, and thoroughly cleaning the van and equipment between bookings. I also offer contact-free communication where possible and maintain respectful distancing to help customers feel safe and comfortable.
