Our Process
When working with Ferne Living, we want you to feel completely heard. The design process should feel enjoyable, seamless, and stress-free from start to finish.
We begin with a free online consultation to learn more about you, your lifestyle, and what you would like to achieve from your space.
If you decide to proceed, we then arrange a visit to your property to carry out a full site measure and take photographs of the space.
Once this is complete, we create and present your personalised mood boards, refining every detail with you to ensure everything feels just right.
Finally, we take care of purchasing and installing all elements of the design, bringing your new space to life with ease and attention to detail.

Our Design Process
At Ferne Living, every mood board and design is thoughtfully considered to ensure your space feels both beautiful and functional.
Following a full detailed site measure, we produce an accurate floor plan that forms the foundation of the design. From there, we create a complete vision board along with 3D renders, allowing you to truly experience how the space will look and feel before any work begins.
We also source samples as part of the process, ensuring our presentations are clear, polished, and easy to visualise. This gives you the opportunity to see, touch, and experience the selected fabrics, wallpapers, and finishes in person before final decisions are made.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
Helpful Information to Get Started
When beginning a project with Ferne Living, it is always helpful for us to have a rough idea of the budget you would like to work within. This allows us to create a design that is both beautiful and realistic for your investment.
Sharing inspiration images can also be incredibly useful. Platforms such as Pinterest help us better understand your personal style, as well as your likes and dislikes, so we can tailor the design perfectly to you.
We also love to understand how your spaces need to function day to day. Knowing who uses the room and how it needs to work helps us design a space that truly supports your lifestyle.
For example, Simon is a father who works from home but would also like a space where he and the children can play, read books, and enjoy practical storage solutions. This type of detail allows us to create interiors that are not only beautiful, but thoughtfully designed around real life.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We do opt to work remotely upon a clients request, we are respectful of space and do always allow our clients the option with sharing spaces with us, We are happy to wash hand remove outdoor coats and shoes and use our personal hand gel.
