It seems that new equipment does not look great but works. In bathroom it is self adjusting to the humidity, and after having shower, drying walls polishing chromes,(I do not like leave drops on) then drying myself, mirror is nearly ready to use - no steam on. In the kitchen it is not possible to verify if extractor works as it haven't detected higher humidity to work in full power. I switch it on higher flow manually when occasionally I fry beacon. I will verify it later in October/November I will examinate if new mould appear. I was admiring the professionalism of the serviceman. A lot of confidence in work what comes from experience and knowledge. He has had all tools needed, made job quickly, has double check if it works, and left place clean. I do not mind to have third extractor changed in toilet, but it I am not the owner of the property. If I have 4th above cooker would be excellent so it would match the signatures against 4 extractors what exists on property's documents only. It seems that current air extraction speed l/s matches to minimum requirements published on gov.uk sites. More...

Fitter failed to notice the fast internal water leak in wall just above where fan fitted, despite mentioning to colleague both internal walls were black inside (I overheard that conversation), which resulted in all the wall filler they put in to cover hole they made to fit the wiring in, to collapse soon after. Had to call out an emergency electrician that evening, to stop the leak dripping directly onto the top of the electric fan! Due to various appointment cancellations, the hole wasn't repaired for another 10 months. Although the fan is good and works well, nobody explained to me, it would be operational 24/7, with no cut off switch and would therefore, push up the cost of my electricity bill. I have a small 2 bed bungalow that had major damp in all rooms. I changed the double glazed windows with trickle vents and had Envirovent install their special humidity extraction system with one vent in the kitchen the other in the bathroom and one larger unit in the hallway. I had the house painted and one year after installing their special humidity system there is no mould whatsoever in the property. Their system to me is outstanding and I couldn’t praise it any more than what it is - best money I have spent on a worthwhile cause in such a long time. Fan actually works fine now.....but it hasn't worked for 2 years and the warrantee runs out in November. Have been told the warrantee won't be extended by the period that it was unserviceable but I may be able to PAY for an extended warrantee. My e-mails to Envirovent have, once again, been ignored (apart from the one thanking them for finally getting the Warrantee Service Engineer out). I think I have been treated extremely poorly. All the spiral ducting is kept outside, unprotected on the yard all year round despite putting photos online making out like it’s kept inside a dry facility (it’s not) so there’s plenty of damage (dents) (cracks) (scratches) to the material along with white rust and foliage from the trees are shrubs. Not exactly quality prime material that you’re charging for. Check ALL your material before signing for anything as management will still knowingly send you damaged and rusty material in the hope that you don’t know or find out until the driver has left site. Envirovent emailed me to say that my fan would benefit from servicing. When I checked, it had been in seven years, so I booked the service, a polite and professional technician cleaned and serviced the fan, as well as answering my questions clearly, and I was also able to arrange for the fan to be upgraded to the latest specification by swapping a cartridge. When so many companies aren't interested in anything they sold a few years back, Envirovent make equipment that can be serviced, repaired, and upgraded. Earlier this year we had Environvent conduct a survey which resulted in a recommendation for ventilation to be installed in our 1930s home. The bathroom had a lot of mould and was essentially sub-standard - left that way by the previous owners. Everyone we dealt with at Envirovent was super friendly and helpful. They offered three different price points for solutions to our problem, which was appreciated as they're not cheap. You definitely get what you pay for though, because the job was booked in and completed promptly, with minimal mess/disruption. A bit of a communication issue at first with the office. Great engineers, although I did have to vacuum the landing when they left. It was a hot day last Friday when they installed the Atmos duel so the fan didn't come on. That was normal. The evening it came on and it's been on ever since. I wonder if it's normal to have a stuffed up blocked sinus feeling on a morning? I thought that sort of thing would be alleviated.
