I had booked for an end of tenancy cleaning service. They gave it to a 3rd party who attended and refused to do deep cleaning of the mattress (which was fine as it was not in a good state) following which I replaced the mattress and requested refund from the company. 3 weeks in and still no refund. Booked with this company and they cancelled last minute and instead of trying to sort it out they asked if I can booked other company. When I said I don't know as it's late and I didn't see it coming, the lady Carla responded with, "Well, we didn't see it coming too." Like it's my problem and really, that's very rude to say. She also said she would look for an alternative but took her until the day of cleaning to confirm she hasn't found anyone and that's after sending her multiple message about update. Absolute waste of money. Do not use for end of tenancy clean.

I paid for a 'professional' end-of-tenancy clean and what I got was embarrassing. The oven wasn't touched, the microwave was dirty, kitchen cupboards and drawers were left also untouched, there was visible limescale in the sink, fat dripping from the extractor fan, mouldy shower silicone, dust in the floor skirting, and coffee stains on the counter that would have come off with a basic wipe. Nine items on their own checklist — missed.

When I flagged this during the walk-through, the cleaner actually asked whether oven cleaning was included, making it very obvious that he was not even appropriately briefed about the extras that I had paid for. He then said it would take him '5 minutes' to clean the oven. Anyone that has cleaned an oven before knows this is not true, which raises questions about basic staff training. He then proceeded to rectify other areas of the cleaning using what looked to be basic supermarket antibacterial wipes. This was supposed to be a professional service but honestly I feel I could have done a better job myself.

The service was scheduled for a Saturday, and we were handing keys back to the landlady on the Sunday. I raised my concerns immediately on email, but their lines are closed over the weekend (and no one responds after hours, so if you do book over a weekend and your cleaner doesn't show up -good luck). This generated considerable stress and me and my partner basically had to go to the property on the Sunday and do a re-clean ourselves.

And then when I asked for a refund? Weeks of stalling, copy-paste responses, and hiding behind a reclean clause for a reclean that was never actually possible due to timing of the move-out.

I’m only giving 3 stars and not less cos’the manager on the phone was kind and understanding and agreed to resend the cleaners to finish a shoddy job they left behind the day before.
I agreed to pay 300 believing I would receive a professional service by a team of cleaners. Instead all I got was two young ladies that lazily and reluctantly turned up with no products, no tools apart from a carpet Hoover/cleaner and after 4 hours left the house with greasy glasses, unclean floors, dust and cobwebs left in corners.

Pretty disappointing experience. We booked this company for an end of tenancy clean a month earlier. Even though I emailed a week before to double check everything as some of the recent reviews for the company weren’t great, a few days before they were meant to come, they sent a confirmation with the wrong time. The cleaners broke a light and the handle on the toilet brush. They left areas uncleaned and surfaces unwiped. Not up to standard. Communication was poor.

I used WL Clean for an end of tenancy clean. The flat was cleaned, and while there were a couple of small areas that could have been better, my main issue wasn’t the cleaning itself — it was the lack of the walk-through service they advertise.

WL Clean clearly state that the cleaner will call a few hours before the job is finished so you can be present for a walk-through at the end. This was one of the main reasons I booked with them. However, I never received a call, and no walk-through took place.

When I raised this afterwards, I was essentially told the matter was closed. For a company that promotes this as part of their service, I found the lack of follow‑through and the customer service response quite disappointing.

If the end-of-clean walk-through is important to you, be aware that it may not happen despite being advertised. I’d recommend confirming this directly before booking. More...

I had WL Clean do an end of tenancy clean at my flat - the company in it admin and followup very professional - the cleaners were mediocre at best - it was more about the hours than the cleaning - after looking at the cleaning more closely they has really just splashed water everywhere you couldn’t smell any evidence of a clean having happened- hot soapy water couldn’t have been used. I had a very very challenging experience with WL Clean for my end-of-tenancy clean in September. I had their cleaners come in for an EOT clean during which they broke the glass clasps inside my oven. Even with their 48 hours deposit guarantee and me informing them of this on the spot, they refused to take responsibility that the cleaners broke it (funny thing I had pictures I shared with them of the cleaners with the oven glass trying to put it back) and were extremely unresponsive for 1 entire week when I was trying to reach them over phone, emails and messages and when they finally replied, they said they can't do anything. My landlords refused to return my deposit until this was resolved. In the end, I had to arrange for replacement clasps and have a technician fix it on my own cost and I ended up raising a dispute through the banking system for this service. More...
