The cleaners I have do an amazing job, often go above and beyond, they are very comfortable to be around and I class them as friends. I had an end-of-tenancy clean agreed with Diamond Home Support from the outset, but the job wasn’t completed to that standard and the company refused to take responsibility or make it right. From the very start, I made it clear that I wanted an end-of-tenancy clean, and their agents quickly confirmed and agreed to this before booking. However, once the clean was finished, the flat was not in an end-of-tenancy condition: there was still mould in the shower and residue left on the hob. I took photos of both issues and contacted the agent to explain that the work was not up to the standard we had agreed and that I expected either a partial refund or for the cleaner to come back and finish the job properly. Instead, my request was very quickly denied, with the company insisting that the agreement was only for a three-hour clean and that they were not responsible for returning the flat to an end-of-tenancy standard, despite my initial request and their earlier agreement. The main problem here is not just the missed spots, but the mismatch between what was promised and what was delivered, followed by a refusal to acknowledge that mismatch. By redefining the job after the fact as “just three hours” instead of an “end-of-tenancy clean”, they avoid accountability for not meeting the standard they initially agreed to provide. For tenants, an end-of-tenancy clean is specifically about meeting a higher standard to protect deposits and avoid disputes, so selling that service and then disowning the standard seriously undermines trust. In short, Diamond Home Support agreed to an end-of-tenancy clean, left clear issues behind, and then refused to fix them or offer a reasonable remedy, shifting blame instead of taking responsibility. We have had a really great experience with Diamond, who provide a fortnightly cleaning service. Our cleaner is very friendly and lovely, as well as skilled - she leaves our home spotless, which makes it really easy to relax in. We're particularly happy that we can book in fortnightly, as not every company allows this, and the price is very reasonable. The Diamond team also worked really hard at the beginning of our contract when our scheduled cleaner left at short notice; they pulled out all the stops to make sure we could still have our home cleaned and remained communicative and helpful throughout despite the stress for them! Terrible overall experience. I have never left a review before but felt compelled to share this. 1) The first cleaner they organised didn't turn up, without any communication from the cleaner despite the day before saying they would be there. My wife had to wait around all day with our 9 month old baby not knowing what was going on. 2) Trying to give them a second chance, we booked another cleaner to start soon after. At no point in the booking process were we told to provide our own cleaning materials. Therefore the cleaner turned up empty handed. They said they could do the clean with our limited cleaning things, but I really wish we had said no: - Every surface was left with streaks and layers of dried out product. - Edges of rooms were left untouched by the hoover. - The hoover was left broken. - Numerous towels were left with bleach stains all over them. Essentially the house was worse than before the clean and we had to stay up sorting it all out through the evening. Despite all this, the worst part was that when we explained the issues about the towels and the hoover to Caroline (the person who organised the business), she said she would inform the cleaner and there has been no follow up since.
