Wow! My mum had the brilliant idea of booking Dave for the drinks reception at our wedding in May and he was a MASSIVE hit! I can say, without hesitation, that he wowed all of the guests and have received many brilliant comments about his tricks since the wedding day- one guest claiming to still feel that they had seen "actual magic!!". Dave treated us to the first trick of the day which was taking my (brand new) wedding band, attaching it to a rope and somehow managing to get this into a different location attached to his car keys! Aside from the magic, Dave was lovely to have around- personable, professional and great with guests of all ages! First and foremost - Dave is absolutely amazing at what he does. Secondly, he is a really lovely person and you get a sense of this immediately. He really knows how to entertain a whole room and give a good atmosphere. Dave actually did me a huge favour and stepped in last minute for a hen do party. He was the highlight of the whole weekend, all of us could not believe how good he was. Other than having an incredible talent in magic, he was so funny and really lifted up everyone’s spirits in the room. Highly recommend! Dave entertained over 80 guests at a Surprise 80th Birthday Party (April 2019). Guests ranged from ages 10 to 84 and Dave had something for everyone as he went around the various tables with his close up magic. Dave also put a lot of thought into what he was going to do prior to the occasion ensuring his magic was suitable for the audience and prepared a special trick for the birthday girl that entertained the whole room! How long have you been interested in magic?
Dave has been fascinated by all things magical for over a decade. He first got the bug when visiting Covent Garden in London, which is famous for it's street acts.
Take us through your show – what can we expect?
A varied array of magical styles using cards, coins, rings, a little fire and even objects borrowed from spectators. For instance, you might see sleight of hand card magic then follow it up with a mind reading feat and then he'll make a thought of item appear in a burst of flame. He will adapt to the group dynamic and choose what is right for them in the moment.
What do you love most about your job?
Magic takes people's stress and worries and replaces them with a sense of wonder. It's putting a smile on peoples faces and giving them moments of pure escapism that makes it so rewarding for a magician. Dave has always loved sharing his magic and these amazing reasons make it unlike another profession.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Magic usually starts as a hobby and it was no exception for Dave. He spent many years learning and perfecting his magic before realising that he was performing regularly and perhaps he could take it to the next level.
