What makes a great website?
A great website produces great results, simple as that. Of course, that depends on how you define your results. Some basics that I believe you'd want to have are:
easy to use - lets not have too many clicks before your customers gets to where they want to be.
mobile friendly - or 'responsive' as its called. Most views take place on mobiles so have your site responsive across devices.
Content - your content is what engages viewers, sell your vision and values. Too much content and your site could take too long to get that engagement.
If you're looking to sell online make it easy to buy and recommend related products. I know from my own experience if the checkout process is too long-winded I tend to give up. That might just be my impatience though!
All the above are essentials and yet none of the above matter if the world cannot find you site. So perhaps the most vital aspect that makes a great website is the visibility you create through your SEO and other Digital Marketing activities.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
When do you want it? How much do you want to spend? How much of the work do you want to do yourself? Once we've got these questions clear then I'd want to know your values, your guiding principles - what makes you get out of bed in the morning and why this new site is connected to those things. These important criteria are vital to create engagement with your target audience and will drive the marketing of your site.
What do you love most about your job?
Getting people the results they are looking for and making a difference to others. There are so many different ways of representing whats important to people through a website and finding a combination that connects with someone'e emotions is a fantastic experience.
What inspired you to start your own business?
When we bought a business that had online presence we found that the site developer had vanished. I decided to get 'under the bonnet' if you like and get the business performing better online. I had to learn Wordpress and all the other bits, SEO, hosting, woocommerce, digital marketing. Knowing that I've learnt an awful lot and yet there seems so much more to learn is a great thing for me. I love learning and understanding how to apply that learning to create results for others.

Yes, everything we do can be delivered remotely. All our wordpress services can are available. Our hosting and domain and monthly management plans are all virtual / online based. Using Zoom, WhatApp or Teams we can arrange meetings with you to get to know your outcomes. If we can cut down the amount of travelling thats a plus for both is us.
