I would just like to thank Bluebird Care for everything they do for my mom. They have been a massive part of our family for over 10 years , previously caring for my dad before he passed away. Bluebird have taken care of my Mum for about 18 months since being discharged from Hospital. She sadly passed away this week at 98, but managed to live at home (alone) until the end, which is what she wanted. Bluebird made that possible for her, and went above and beyond in making her life as pleasurable and comfortable as possible during that time. I think Bluebird Care should make it much clearer from the outset that they operate a “no hands-on” approach to care. This information should be provided before arranging an assessment, as it would have saved me from going through an assessment for my dad when their service ultimately wasn’t suitable for his needs. When you are arranging care for a parent, the process can already be stressful and time-consuming. Having clear information upfront about exactly what care they can and cannot provide would help families make an informed decision before committing to an assessment. Bluebirdcare..I was given this Company by the Hse..a carrer supposed to come to me at 11am today..a carrer who comes 4 times a week for one hour. .she was sick today and nobody from Bluebird care notified me of any change as usual nothing ..and at 10.10am someone called my Intercom I was in the shower..it was a carrer sent unannounced..then she left I told her my call is for 11am..I was not aware of any change..so today I have no help no shopping done nothing because I didn t allow that person to come in while 1 hour earlier..(but they get payed of course for "helping me"🤣)while in the shower..this Company Bluebird care is offen doing this disrespecting customers sending other people/carrers at other than appointed times..coming late and leaving early...other than this today comming 1 hour earlier..At the beggining of them sending a carrer the appointed main carrer would not come to work if outside was a bad rain or a Storm and in Ireland the weather is like that always in the winter so another lady came always instead of her...Asha..so I requested Asha to come always because I needed a carrer and she was the one relieble..with her I am happy she is helpfull and nice only when she is not well ( like today)Bluebird care is just sending people unannounced at the door at different times without calling me before to inform me about the change which is not nice.. hopefully Bluebirdcare Ireland will appreciate their customers more and their carrers(Bluebird care) will be more carrying as they deal with sick people in need and call them and let them know about any changes they make not just assume" that person needs us they would take what ever when ever from Bluebird care Ireland"😡😡😡 More...

Worked here and can say the price you pay is not the care you receive seen many carers tick boxes that has not even been done properly or at all clients pads not even been changed when said have been also one client had never had a bath and was only ever given wash down any time you reported it no one cared as long as they were making the visits and your there the duration they dont care would never work for this company again and would advise not to either just use you

Our family had live-in Bluebird help for our dad from 2019 to 2026. This enabled him to stay in his own home and maintain his independence for as long as possible. He appreciated all the different carers making meals for him and helping him with personal care. The Bluebird office always quickly found us replacement carers if someone was off sick. Highly recommended Bluebird care , from our initial enquiry to having carers start I cannot fault the service we received. Carers each evening and 3 mornings to administer medication, housework, and feed the cat for our 92 year old mum. All carers professional, friendly , mum loved them all and looked forward to them coming. Any concerns with mum or medication was dealt with quickly by office staff and out of hours team. I found it comforting to be able to log on to family portal to see how mum was each day. Having never used a care service before, we chose Bluebird based on meeting the owner and the positive vibe we got. The carers are just incredible and the manager / deputy manager go so far over & above. We always felt dad was safe & treated like a human being. He liked them all and built up good rapports with all of them. Bluebird provide good care to our elderly relative, helping her to shower and get dressed so she can continue to live in her own home semi-independently. All the carers are friendly and help out with little tasks within their allotted time, and provide some extra social contacts to break up the day. Bluebird use an app to record when they visit, and what has been done on each visit, The app allows us to see who is coming for the next week's visits so we can alert our relative, and also read the carer's comments. I would not recommend working for Bluebird Care Wolverhampton. In my experience, the company is extremely understaffed, which places unnecessary pressure on carers who are expected to cover heavy workloads with little support. Despite the hard work staff put in every day, they are often made to feel underappreciated and undervalued. One of the biggest issues I experienced was the lack of communication from management. Shamim Ali was, in my experience, unprofessional and failed to communicate effectively with staff. Emails and important queries often went unanswered, and I was left chasing for updates regarding significant employment matters. It felt as though there was very little concern for staff wellbeing or resolving issues fairly and promptly. That said, I do want to recognise Selina, who supported me throughout the difficulties I experienced. She regularly checked in on my wellbeing, listened to my concerns, and made sure I felt supported during what was a very stressful time. Without her support, the experience would have been even more difficult, and I genuinely appreciate the care and compassion she showed. Overall, the branch’s management needs significant improvement. Staff deserve to be treated with respect, communicated with openly, and supported in their roles rather than being left in the dark. The carers themselves work incredibly hard and genuinely care about the people they support, but they are let down by poor management, chronic understaffing, and a lack of appreciation for the work they do. I hope the company takes staff concerns seriously and makes meaningful changes to improve both employee wellbeing and the workplace as a whole. More...

We have been with Bluebird for 10 months now, the Bluebird carers help my husband with washing, shaving, dressing and his mobility with a hoist. I am his main carer and have been for years, but it got to a point i was struggling to do it on my own, he needed more equipment. The induction training with Karen was really thorough. I really enjoyed the learning experience. The concepts and ideas covered the legal and moral challenges of being a responsible carer The process was both entertaining and really informative. Broken promises, unfair treatment and poor working standards I accepted this role based on a formal written agreement clearly stating I would receive 25 hours of work each week. Once I started, it quickly became clear they were unable to deliver what was originally agreed. They tried to change the terms of my contract, and when I did not agree, my employment was ended. They later claimed my original offer had no value and was not part of our agreement, which is misleading and completely unfair. Working practices here are unsafe and fall well below expected standards. I was regularly notified of shifts less than an hour before they were due to start, sometimes when I was already out. This left me no proper time to read care notes or prepare adequately for visits, yet this was later recorded as a concern against me. All the reasons given for ending my employment were untrue. I was accused of things that simply did not happen, and claims were made about my work that were never raised with me at the time. Standard induction training usually takes around 3 weeks, but I was kept training and shadowing for 3 months – far longer than normal. Records were later changed to say I had completed only a small number of shifts, but my own payslips prove otherwise. This company does not keep its word, treats staff unfairly and operates below the standards you should expect. I would not recommend working here. More...

awful company! they have been looking after my dad for a couple of years and i have to check every day what they are doing, i’ve had to raise safe guarding issues and they will come in and do the minimum amount and never stay the time you are paying for, they do not listen to what you want instead do their own thing, if you raise a complaint they give themselves 30 days before they provide you with a response! i had one carer give my dad frozen chips for dinner, they keep leaving his walker where he can’t reach it and he has had multiple falls because of their failures! i would avoid as all cost More...

Been with Bluebird for about a year. They provide care services, such as stoma care that many of the other companies do not provide. They have really supported Mum, and clearly worked with Mum to ensure she maintained as much independence as she could. The other week, on last visit of the night, Mum needed 111. Nicola stayed late to help Mum get though to 111 and set up the home visit she needed. Thank you Nicola we are very grateful for what you did.
