I just wanted to say a huge thank you to the wonderful team at BelleVie who have been supporting my uncle Jeremy, who is living with dementia. Their care has been exceptional. They have helped Jeremy maintain a real sense of independence and dignity, while also making sure he feels supported and safe. What has meant the most to us as a family is how thoughtful they are – taking the time to plan lovely outings for him, from trips out for coffee to church and medical appointments, always making the experience enjoyable and relaxed. The team are warm, kind and genuinely invested in Jeremy’s wellbeing. It never feels rushed or transactional – they treat him as a person, not just a client, and that has made such a difference to his quality of life. BelleVie have been providing excellent care for my uncle Jeremy, who is in his 80s and living with dementia. The team bring such warmth and creativity, from enriching activities like cooking, baking, art and visits to local garden centres, to supporting all health matters, appointments and even vet visits. Every carer I’ve met has been exceptionally helpful, knowledgeable and kind.I also really value the BelleVie app, which records every visit and keeps everything transparent and easy to follow. I am a mobility , verbal challenged person. I am challenged further by being embarrassed by the issues, brought about by a stroke. Has this stopped Sue and her team from encouraging me to go for it!!They have encouraged me to get myself to pubs, to appointments, and to see my daughter Robyn get her degree. This was in the Midlands! Sue was with me, every step of the way. Including some very very dodgy steps - Sue was there and everything went smoothly.They were also very keen to get me on cruise ship. What do you love most about your job?
BelleVie's vision is to build a society where everyone feels valued and supported. What I love about my job is that I can see that vision coming to life through the wonderful work that our care teams provide.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I founded BelleVie Care in 2019 having been inspired by the "Buurtzorg" model which has revolutionised how care is delivered to people in their own homes in the Netherlands. I saw how much of a difference it made to people's lives and wanted to bring some of that Dutch magic to at-home care in England.
