Apollo have looked after my mum for almost 6 years and are a reliable company who offer a really good standard of care. The carers are exceptionally good and are kind, considerate natured people. Mum loves them all. She and I feel very lucky to have found a company who are so good at what they do. They put my mind at rest when it comes to my mums care and have adapted their care over the 6 years as mum needs so much more help now that she is 96. Without them mum would definitely no longer be able to live at home which is where she definitely wants to be. For the past months we have been looked after by the dedicated, caring, exceptional staff from Apollo. I am talking about the carers themselves who have been more than just professionals. They have been friends and an irreplaceable support network. So it was a real shock to be told, just 2 days ago, that the management had decided to dismiss us from their client list. This is despite the assurance that it is not a reflection on us but a result of staffing problems. We are being cast out without the dignity of even a five day period of notice, never mind the 28 days promised in the agreement signed when we were taken on as “clients. We are very upset. I worked for Apollo care south wirral for just under 2 years. What a great company to of worked for! Not only do they look after their clients and meet the individuals needs, but they look after their staff, encouraging them to further their skills and knowledge, through training and qualifications. The job it's self is rewarding as you get to build a professional relationship with each individual client, making working, a much better environment. I left due to a personal tragic bereavement and unfortunately find it difficult to return, but if this wasn't the case, I would still be working for Apollo care south wirral as it has been the best and most professional company I've worked for. “My Name is Suzanne and I am the registered manager and company director of Apollo Care South Wirral. I have over 20 yrs experience in the care industry gained from many years of caring in the community through nurse training and specialising in taking care of adults with physical and learning disabilities. I am passionate about providing our service users with the highest standards of care, advocacy and companionship.”
Both my deputy, Steph, and I come from backgrounds in care, our experiences have been both professional and personal, which I believe drives us to deliver a service that stands us apart from others, so when we say that we understand, we really do.
My late father suffered with Parkinson's disease, we lost him in August 2023 after a long battle. This experience has given me a unique insight into both sides of care delivery and I am passionate about the quality of care that is delivered.
