Companionship visits
We can arrange one of our friendly care assistants to visit at regular times, or whenever they are needed. They will become a recognised, welcome face who gives you or your loved one quality time and can offer an understanding and interesting conversation.
Whatever the situation, one-on-one time has so many benefits. Maybe you or your friend or relative feels isolated and would love to make new connections but lack the confidence to go to a new friendship or hobby group alone.
You may live a distance from a loved one or family member and would feel comforted knowing they are receiving a regular visit from a trusted source. A companionship care assistant could help identify local clubs and offer support so that you or your loved one can attend.

Dementia Support
Dementia can be scary for the person living with it and their loved ones, the smallest change can be distressing for the person and also for their loved ones.
Changes of routine or living arrangements can trigger stress and anxiety.
Everyone experiences Dementia differently and no two cases are the same for them or their loved ones.
Our highly trained and compassionate carers are there to help those living with dementia as well as taking the pressure off their loved ones.
Assisting our carers is our use of technology that will help us to keep you informed 24 hours a day at the click of a link to see exactly what is happening with your loved ones care.
If you don’t like technology you don’t have to engage with it, we will use it for you to help us deliver the best care we can, we can always provide updates over the phone or write in the communications book if that’s what you would prefer. Its your care an your choice and were here to help deliver that.
Help at Home
Having a carer come to visit you in your home can make a huge difference to your life, especially if you have difficulty walking or getting around.
Our service can help you stay living independently in your own home. This type of care is known as home care or sometimes home help. Here at Alcester Home Care the support we can offer is very flexible.
You might need a carer for only half an hour a week or for several hours a day. You might even need 24 hour care, we are here to help.
It can be temporary – for example for a few weeks while you recover from an illness. Or it can be long term. You might also consider home adaptations, household gadgets or equipment to make life easier.
Overnight Support
Care does not clock on and off. For many requiring care, the evening and overnight is when support is needed the most.
So, if your care requirements have led you to consider nursing homes or assisted living facilities there may be another avenue and Alcester Home Care can help. An overnight carer enables you to remain independent, avoiding the routines and restrictions which can come with a care home.
Having a care worker available through the night, also provides the reassurance you need to get a good night’s sleep. Having night care can help with the practical and emotional concerns of being alone when friends and family have left. An overnight carer can assist with mobility within the home, such as climbing stairs, changing clothes and getting into bed.
Respite Care
Respite care is a short term arrangement where we take over the care for you or your loved one so that the usual carer can take a break.
This can be because there is a holiday coming up for the usual carer, there is sickness, other planned absence, or the carer just needs a break to refresh and recharge.
