Hello! Thank you for reading my profile. I am an independent, registered Personal Trainer specialising in 1-2-1 home training and outdoor fitness.
My emphasis is proven, professional training, with no fads, gimmicks or false promises – you won’t find photo-shopped images of fitness models on my facebook page, and I won't upsell products or diet plans. You can be confident that advice from me is professional, unbiased, focused on health and relevant to you.
I radically turned my own fitness around in my 30's, and went on to become an endurance runner and British Masters marathon champion in 2011. I am also a mother of two small children, and have experience of fitting health and fitness into a busy life. I know that barriers to health and fitness, whatever they are, are complicated and see a big part of my role as helping my clients find ways to overcome them - whether it is time, illness, injury, confidence, circumstances, routine or conflicting advice to name just a few.
I am proud to have built up expert knowledge in my area, and to apply this to help all of my clients individually whatever they want to achieve.
My qualifications include Level 3 Personal Trainer, Level 3 Nutrition and Weight Management, Level 3 Pre and Post Natal Exercise, Small Group Trainer, UKA Coach in Running Fitness, member of the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPS) and member of the National Register of Personal Trainers.

How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
I take a broad approach to Personal Training that gives support across many different parts of health, nutrition, lifestyle, activity, progress tracking, motivation and fitness testing - PT to me is about far more than just 1-2-1 training sessions. I will work closely with you to look at exactly what you want to achieve, what your personal barriers to fitness are, and what motivates you most. You can expect simple, professional and informed advice at all times - I don't follow fads or gimmicks, or try to upsell products. My emphasis is only on completely tailored, personal and proven approaches to health and fitness for each of my individual clients.

I know that everyone has different goals and different things that stop them from reaching those goals - my approach is always unique for everyone I work with. I spend as much time as necessary getting to understand my client's needs and what motivates them. I don't think good Personal Training is about promises of quick wins, because these are often short lived. Instead I try to work with people to put in place positive long-term changes.

1-2-1 personal training at your home or workplace, using a variety of professional fitness equipment. All training is completely individual and includes fitness programmes, home-workouts, corrective exercises and nutrition advice written specifically for you to support your personal goals. From £35/session.
Outdooor training on a 1-2-1 basis or in small groups, in beautiful surroundings. This is NOT Boot Camp training, but tailored personal fitness using outdoor surroundings. From £20 per person, including fitness portfolios and nutrition support.
For those who are able to motivate themselves during exercise but might not know where to start, or want to make sure they are training safely and for optimum benefit. I provide a progressive, individual exercise programme with home-workouts, corrective exercises and nutrition guidance written by me specifically for you with your goals, fitness level and personal circumstances in mind. You self-monitor your food and activity using a variety of apps or old-fashioned paper for me to review. I give telephone support and weekly progress checks, plus a monthly face-to-face meeting to measure progress, evaluate changes in your health and fitness and check/demonstrate good technique in the exercises I have given you. £25 per week.
Running can be one of the most satisfying, relaxing and beneficial forms of exercise, but many runners place undue stress on their joints through poor technique. Others are put off by exercising outdoors in front of people, or simply don't know where to start. I will analyse your running technique and muscle balance, teach you how to warm up and cool down safely, give you exercises to improve posture and reduce the risk of running injury, accompany you on outdoor runs and develop a personalised running programme to get your fitness up to whatever level you want to achieve. I cater for both complete beginners and advanced runners - clients who have come to me lacking the confidence to exercise outdoors now run regularly with friends and take part in Park Runs and 5k's. I also help competitive runners improve their Personal Bests - I will train with you, pace you for optimum benefit, review your training schedule and make sure you are genuinely pushed to reach your potential. As with all personal training, everything is supported with advice on nutrition whether for weight loss, energy, muscle growth or race-day preparation. Prices from £35/session for 1-2-1 training, or £25/week for a running programme, tailored exercises and monthly face-to-face review/evaluation.
Pre & Post Natal Exercise
Qualified with Level 3 Pre & Post Natal Exercise, I will help you to understand the changes taking place in your body and respond through your exercise programme; ensure correct posture during exercise; make sure exercise intensity is safe and right for your stage of pregnancy; advise on good nutrition for you and your baby during pregnancy. After your baby is born, I can support you with gentle activity, stretches and work on your pelvic floor and monitor your physical revovery until it is safe to recommence your structured programme. I will then support you with the best ways to recover and stay active while caring for your baby, and will happily fit in around your new family life.
