Leo is a great instructor! His knowledge and enthusiasm for music is really impressive and contagious. Lessons are always fun and the songs that he gets me to learn are just at the right level to be challenging but playable (with practise! ). I love the variety of styles and techniques that we cover. My children have been learning instruments with BMT for a few years. Both of them very much enjoy their lessons and the teachers are really friendly. My children like how they can practice and learn music suited to their own music tastes which has meant they have developed a real love for music. Our son loves his guitar lessons! He regularly picks up his guitar to play it between lessons without any negative pressure. He thinks Jake is cool and funny. The songs BMT teach and the way they teach is really engaging for young people. My son started his drum lessons with Leo almost a year ago now. He loves Leo and has made a lot of progress. Leo is very professional and patient with my son, who finds difficult to concentrate. It’s actually the first time he’s taken lessons after school. Things are going so well that, in addition to his drum lessons, he started to learn piano with Ben two months ago and has already made progress. Our son joined lessons with zero experience with a guitar, he is now almost 2 years down the line and 7 years old. Still enjoying lessons as much as the day he started and determined to progress. Beau struggles to focus in many situations and is a very social, chatty and active boy but some how Sam works his magic and his way of teaching is the perfect balance for Beau to develop in his own way. The encouragement and personal touch through weekly practice notes from Connor and voice messages from Sam at exam time has been really special and gave him the moral support he needed (from the experts! ) to get a decent recording sent off. My 8yo son has never had the confidence to do any after school clubs/ sports clubs etc, and when we arrived at BMT for a trial lesson he got very overwhelmed and anxious. We were about to turn around and walk away but Sam had a chat with him and managed to persuade him to give it a go. I have always wanted to play a musical instrument, I don’t know why I didn’t do it before now. I am fifty five and I thought I was too old but Sam reminded me that music is for everyone. What inspired you to start your own business?
I loved guitar from the day I started playing when I was 13. I knew I had to pursue a career in music there and then!

YES - we have a strong online set up via Zoom, including a tutorial for students to get the best set up.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Info was added in 2020: All PPE and Covid procedures in place for in person lessons. We have hand sanitiser, masks required upon entry. Teaching rooms have perspex screen between student and teacher.
