What started as a way for me to get my daily doggie fix has grown into a little business I absolutely love. I’ve now been caring for and walking dogs for the past 3–4 years, and I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know so many wonderful dogs and their individual personalities along the way.

Lily has been walking my dog Roxie, a large boxer dog, for a few weeks now & she really deserves an outstanding review. A few years ago, Roxie was attacked and since then she has found walks challenging. She often pulls on the lead when she sees other dogs. I was worried about this but Lily has really been able to make Roxie feel comfortable. She is always on time, polite and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. What do you love most about your job?
Honestly, it’s the dogs! ? I love that every dog I look after is completely different. They all have their own little personalities, quirks and routines, and getting to know them is one of my favourite parts of the job.
I also love the trust that comes with it. Being trusted to look after someone’s beloved pet is such a lovely feeling, and it’s so rewarding seeing how excited the dogs get when they see me.
I never really expected dog walking to become such a big part of my life, but I genuinely can’t imagine not doing it now. ??
What inspired you to start your own business?
I actually started my dog walking business alongside my handmade fashion business. I work from home and spend a lot of time working alone, so I wanted something that would get me out of the house, keep me active and, of course, give me an excuse to spend some time with dogs!
I never really expected it to become a proper business. I started with just a few walks here and there, but through word of mouth and recommendations, it gradually grew. Before I knew it, I had regular clients and a growing group of dogs that I absolutely loved looking after.
What started as something small to break up my days has turned into a business I’m incredibly proud of, and I’m so glad I decided to give it a go!

I genuinely care about every dog I look after and treat them as if they were my own. ?
After 3–4 years of running my business, I’ve had experience with all sorts of dogs, personalities and routines, so I understand that every dog is different and needs a slightly different approach.
Because I run my business independently, I’m able to offer a really personal service. You’re not passing your dog between different walkers — they get to know me, and I get to know them, from their favourite walking routes and little quirks to what makes them feel happy and comfortable.
I’m reliable, caring and genuinely love what I do. Most importantly, I want you to feel completely comfortable knowing your dog is in safe, loving hands while they’re with me. ??
