I honestly cannot recommend Ujwala enough. She has completely changed my dog — in the best possible way. The difference is night and day.

Before training, I never imagined my dog could be this calm, focused, and reliable. Now she is amazing off the lead, listens beautifully, and is so much more confident and happy. The training was clear, kind, and incredibly effective, and it was obvious how much knowledge and experience she has.

We’ve tried a couple of dog trainers before, but none of them felt like the right fit, until now. From the very beginning, we saw real, noticeable changes in our dog, and it honestly felt like such a relief. It’s amazing to finally have a trainer we trust completely.

Being able to go away and know our dog is truly well cared for has been life-changing. All of his needs are not only met but exceeded. He gets long walks, plenty of socialization with other dogs, and consistent training, all while having the best time. The board-and-train has been incredible for both him and us.

Ujwala is incredibly knowledgeable and truly understands dogs, and it shows in the way she handles them. She boarded and trained our 4-year-old high-energy Labrador, Deano, and did a fantastic job. He got plenty of attention, exercise, and affection, and was always comfortable and well looked after. We were kept updated every single day with photos and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Deano was treated like family—not just by Ujwala, but also by her dog, Copper, who welcomed him like an older sibling and helped him settle in right away. I cannot recommend dog trainer Ujwala Viswanath highly enough. Before we started training together, my dog was terrified of leaving the house to go out on walks, due to having a negative association which had not always been an issue but was one which had gradually been developing overtime. Walks had become a constant struggle, she’d freeze on the pavement, refuse to move, and any progress felt impossible. I was stressed, worried, and honestly starting to lose hope.

From the very first session, Ujwala not only understood my dog’s walking-based fears but also taught me leash-pressure, recall, confidence-building exercises and techniques, all of which were a game-changer. For the first time, I felt like I had real tools to help my dog.

We even worked on desensitisation to fireworks, something I’d dreaded every year around fireworks season. Ujwala handled every challenge with so much patience and skill, and also offered practical recommendations, from training leads and LED ring collars for night walks to vibration collars and trackers for off-lead walks, and sent videos of progress.

The transformation has been remarkable. My dog, who once couldn’t step out the front door without shutting down, now walks with curiosity, ease, and growing confidence. Her progress has been amazing to watch, and honestly, I feel like I have grown right alongside her. Peanut completed a 1-week training program, and I’m really happy with the progress made in such a short time. Even though one week is a brief period, we saw noticeable improvements in her behaviour and responsiveness. Peanut picked up the basic commands well.especially Sit,Stay,Come&No . Uji has truly been the best thing that happened to us! She helped settle our Maltese puppy, Blue, who was very anxious after a negative first experience meeting other dogs. He became nervous and unsure, which really affected how he interacted with them.

After training with Uji, Blue has become much more confident and is learning to enjoy meeting new dogs again. He absolutely loved spending time with her and her lovely dog, Copper. Uji gently introduced him to other dogs, taught him how to walk properly, and helped him learn several important commands.

What I really appreciated was how Uji sent videos of Blue’s progress after each session — it helped me understand what he was learning and how I could support him at home. She didn’t just train Blue; she also helped me understand dog behavior and the important role I play in his confidence and development.

Uji’s knowledge, patience, and commitment never faltered throughout the process. She has a huge passion and dedication to dog training and works hard to ensure she understands exactly what each dog needs and how best to help them. Absolutely outstanding experience with Ujwala! From the very first consultation (called last minute - Leo is an American Akita rescue) it was clear that she truly understands canine behavior and is deeply passionate about helping both dogs and their owners build strong, respectful relationships. My dog had issues with over excitable behavior and inconsistent recall, and within just a few sessions and board , I saw an incredible transformation.

Ujwala took the time to thoroughly assess my dog’s personality, triggers, and learning style. She didn’t use a one-size-fits-all approach — instead, she customized the training plan to suit our specific needs, which made all the difference. Her methods were positive, reward-based, and rooted in clear communication and patience. I never felt rushed, and she always made sure I understood the reasoning behind each exercise.

One of the things I appreciated most was how empowering the process felt. I wasn’t just dropping my dog off and hoping for results — I was actively learning how to become a better, more confident handler. Ujwala provided detailed help after boarding Leo and offered ongoing support via email/text, and celebrated every small win with us.

We sent our 4-month-old pup, Goofy, to Ujwala for a week of boarding as we had noticed his issue with resource guarding. Right from the very beginning, Ujwala ensured that Goofy was comfortable in his new environment along with Copper, and she kept us updated with regular videos and highlights without any delay. This meant a lot to us, as it showed how much she truly cared for him.

Throughout his stay, Goofy was cared for like he was her own. He made new friends under her guidance and seemed completely at ease in her care. Since his return, we’ve noticed a remarkable difference—he responds well to the “leave it” command, has become calmer and more mature, approaches new dogs and strangers more gently, and even engages in self-play during times of boredom.

Ujwala also did a wonderful job with his crate training, introducing him to the “go home” command. We now see him happily settling in his crate at night and then joining us in the mornings for some time together—a balance we find really valuable.

We are very grateful for the foundation Ujwala has helped build for Goofy. We highly recommend her to anyone looking to board or train their pups, and we are already looking forward to Goofy boarding with her again later this year. More...

I have 2 miniature dachshunds and a Lurcher. Ujwala has been training them for 7 sessions each so far. The change I have seen in the behaviour of my dogs and my relationship with them has been absolutely mind blowing. My 4 year old male dachshund in particular has literally had a complete transformation in his behaviour. He used to have really high levels of anxiety outside which presented in extreme barking and lunging behaviour. He was easily triggered by bikes, skateboards and scooters. When I took him out with my husband who is a wheelchair user he became aggressively protective. With the help and guidance from Ujwala he is now walking off lead all the time. His anxiety levels have gone down completely. Triggers that generated an aggressive response before are now totally ignored. He is such a happy dog. I’ve had friends, neighbours and even strangers in my neighbourhood comment on how pleasantly surprised they are in the change in his behaviour. Ujwala is a natural with the dogs. She is extremely patient yet persistent in her approach. A big part of the training process has been her training me in how I interact with my dogs. I have been able to contact her outside of the training sessions for advice and support multiple times. I also want to mention Ujwala’s dog Copper. All 3 of my dogs are completely obsessed with him and his calm demeanour around during the training sessions has certainly rubbed off on them. My other two dogs have also had a huge positive change in their behaviour. In fact the Lurcher who very rarely showed me affection is now glued to me because Ujwala has taught me how to play with her that uses up all her energy and to get her to focus on me solely when we are outside. Ujwala has also helped me greatly with my own confidence when it comes to being the leader of my pack. She has shown how through obedience training, patience and consistency even the most stubborn, anxious dog can be trained. I cannot recommend her enough as a dog trainer. Ujwala clearly is a very dog friendly person. It is only a month since she has started working with our 15 month old Nacho (Eurasier breed) and in the last couple of days , we are seeing Nacho’s behaviour changing for the better. He has calmed down and his recall is getting better. Ujwala is very patient and hardworking and Nacho looks forward for his time with her .
