How long have you been in business?
We have worked in the domestic and holiday let sector for 5 years. We have exceptionally high standards; both in results and reliability. We have a small administration and management team based at Yelverton Business Park who co-ordinate the wider team 7 days a week whilst remaining ready to step in and cover any clean should one of our cleaners be on holiday or off sick.
Do you bring your own equipment and supplies?
For regular domestic cleaning, we do ask that you provide the cleaning materials and equipment; this complies with our insurance policy, means you actually have a choice of how your home smells at the end of the clean and, most importantly, prevents any risk of cross-contamination between homes. For holiday let and commercial cleans, we can provide equipment and materials and run the COSHH file on your behalf although prices vary depending on your requirements.

What inspired you to start your own business?
Kate left the Royal Navy in 2017 and over the course of a decade she learnt the value of hard work, effective team cohesion, and how to successfully manage a team. But being away from home for such long periods made her appreciate what was important; she craved a balanced lifestyle with more time available for her family and doing the things she loved. Armed with high standards and a real appreciation for how hectic lives can become, she founded The Dartmoor Cleaning Company in order to help bring a sense of balance to other households
Why should our clients choose you?
We love to get to know our clients and we'll always be at the end of the phone should you need us. Having some help at home should be a seamless service; something that will help you get through to the weekend and maintain your sanity on the way! We will deliver that.

Our cleaners will travel to your home or holiday let property in order to perform their duties.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Our cleaners will take the following precautions when entering your home:
1. Your cleaner will wash their hands using soap and water for at least 20 seconds. They will continue to wash their hands regularly and before leaving the property.
2. They will maintain a safe distance from all household occupants at all times and ensure good ventilation in the area in which they are working. Masks will be worn when this is not possible.
3. No work should be carried out in any household which is isolating or where an individual is being shielded. Please inform us if this is the case and we will notify your cleaner immediately.
4. Surfaces should be cleaned using regular cleaning products, then disinfected using a product such as Dettol Antibacterial Surface Cleaner Spray.
5. Special attention will be given to "high-touch" areas, such as door and cupboard handles, light switches, TV remotes, tables and counter tops.
6. Our cleaners take regular Lateral Flow Tests, most essentially on the mornings of visiting the homes of the elderly.
