Sebastian, Marius and the team worked at our loft conversion during the last 3 months of 2025. We were initially anxious about them, the expected duration of the build and the quality of the work, but I have to say that the Team exceeded our expectations in all these areas. The work took less than three months and was completed to a great standard. All of the specialists who were engaged were professional, quick and courteous and we also had an excellent and helpful interface, to liaise with the team throughout the build. All the work was completed to a very high standard and we are really pleased with the result. Also, the project was completed more or less on time. The only thing that could haven been improved was more communication and input from SimplyEasy Refurbs themselves. SimplyEasy Refurbs and ICS recently converted our loft into a bedroom and bathroom, reconfigured two first-floor rooms, replaced the ground-floor stairs, and built a porch. The loft conversion was excellent. Fast, focused, and clearly within their expertise. The quality and efficiency stood out. The rest of the project was more mixed. Ground-floor works suffered delays due to unreliable trades, requiring more hands-on coordination from us. All trades were friendly and professional, though not always punctual. The project ran about six weeks longer than planned. Communication and scheduling could have been tighter, though some delays were due to merchants missing delivery dates, which disrupted momentum. Final completion took a bit longer than we'd hoped, but building control sign-off was achieved first time round, without any comments. It represents their knowledge of local building regulations and performing the work to the necessary standards. Pricing was competitive and they honored the original quote. However, more upfront detail would help have helped for instance, we requested some upgrades from day 1 and it was "Something to discuss it directly with the Project Manager at the time", this made it hard to gauge cost differences from the start. It does mean the “lump-sum” price wasn’t fully transparent. Extras were always discussed and agreed, except once when unapproved roofing works were done, although we reached a fair resolution. We’d recommend them, especially for loft conversions where they truly excel. With stronger site project management and trade reliability, they could easily become a 5-star design and build firm. We had a great experience with Sebastian and his team. Our mansard loft conversion has added a whole new floor to our flat and provided an amazing new bedroom for our daughter. Our builder Loren and his team were excellent - the work was done on time and to cost; any issues were swiftly dealt with. As expected, we had to get a fire sprinkler system installed - with hindsight we could have started shopping around for a company to do it before building control confirmed it would be necessary; but we were lucky - we found a company who could do it quickly and that meant there was no delay to our project. The aftercare has been fabulous - only today their electrician came back to move a fan in the new bathroom ceiling that was in the way of our new cupboard doors. But the absolute highlight for us has been working with Chris and his team. Chris is, without a doubt, the best builder we’ve ever come across. He brings years of experience and real skill to the job – you can see it in every decision he makes. Nothing was ever too much trouble… even getting our bathroom skylight up to the top floor by crane! Where to start! Thanks Sebastian, Minde, Tomas, Lile, Giedre and all the team that worked on our project. The team set up a WhatsApp group which proved amazing as we were all aware of what was happening every step of the way. If you don't have plans in place, get these guys to do them. Much better service than anywhere else. The builders who did the frame work, the roofers, carpenters, electrician, plumbers, plaster etc., were all so professional, clean, tidy and worked very hard. Any issues were addressed straight away. We could not be happier with the outcome which turned out to be a double bedroom on suite and an extra room for my office. I cannot fault any of the work. SimplyEasy Refurbs were recommended by Fast Plans, who did our drawings. They provided one of the 3 quotes we had shortlisted. You hear of so many horror stories from botched building works and deposits being paid and builders disappearing, so we nervously proceeded with caution when deciding who to entrust to build our extended loft space. Laura made an initial visit and helped reassure us of SimplyEasy Refurb's credentials. Sebastian was then patient and non-pushy as we edged towards paying a deposit. Throughout the build he remained readily contactable and willing to take a call or answer an email. The project was completed around 6 months ago – on time and without any issues or problems. We've had time to let the dust settle and paint dry on the project, and we can't fault the quality of the work or any part of the build process. I don't generally like to give poor reviews, however I am compelled to write this one as unfortunately our experience was not a good one at all. .. A catalogue of issues encountered during the build, with what should have been a simple single dormer extension. Conduct and skill level of the trade contractors was very variable, ranging from very good to very poor. The "project manager had little to no control over the works and sadly lacked technical knowledge on a number of key areas, as such failed to identify and manage issues in a timely way, ultimately leading to months of upheaval in our home. This resulted in a substandard roof installation, which culminated in a second contractor being tasked with an entire re-roof of the property. Having spent a lot of additional money rectifying the ceiling and wall damage (to multiple rooms below) and poor installation (lighting wiring, radiators, shower) we are still left without the ability to use our additional loft shower at the same time as the existing bathroom, despite numerous concerns raised with the project manager on this point - as a result of a poor plumbing installation. We decided this year to convert our loft. I stumbled across Simply Easy Refurbs via a random google search and submitted a request for a quote. Within minutes I had a phone call from a gentleman called Daniel who was also able to facilitate a meeting the same day. We had a long discussion and he was extremely patient with our endless list of questions. Both my wife and I were impressed with his level of expertise and the following morning we received a detailed quote. After meeting with several other companies we decided Simply Easy Refurbs was our choice and it was one of our best decision ever. The timeframe for the build was 12 to 14 weeks. Within weeks of paying the deposit we met with our project manager Loren and Aldo. We agreed on a starting date and 2 weeks after the meeting the loft construction started. From the moment Loren and his team arrived we were absolutely astounded by their work and craftsmanship. Loren attention to detail is remarkable and he remember the smallest of details. Literally from the first week we could see that they were going to finish ahead of schedule but we didn’t realise how quickly that would be. The loft which consisted of 2 bedrooms and a bathroom was fully finished in 5 weeks. That included all flooring a fully tilted bathroom and each room was completely decorated. The result is better than we had ever imagined and was delivered in good time at a good price. Stas, our project manager, was reliable and a pleasure to deal with. He really listened and was able to guide and reassure us whenever we had questions or worries (of which there were a few, this being our first time having any substantial building work done). Seb was also great to deal with and the negotiation process was smooth and fair.
