Shane was a pleasure to work with. He did what was excepted plus more. Firstly he arrived early and seemed very personally invested in achieving great images.
It seemed like Shane came with a plan, and was deliberate about familiarising himself with who people were so he knew key people that needed to be photographed and who with.
Shane was also extremely personable, so much so that even though he had a large professional camera and flash he fit right in which made achieving candid photos much more natural.
When it came to delivering the photos, I was shocked at the fast turnaround. The event was on Saturday and by Monday morning I had them all (including the edits) and Shane was kind enough to send some prints of the photos to the person who's birthday it was.
Overall, I am very happy with the images and Shane's service and would definitely recommend.

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
It depends on the type of photography, I find that when it comes to working with people; it's the ability to be both seen and unseen. What that means is that for my candid shots I like to take up positions where my subject/s are operating in their space; undisturbed by someone waving a camera around forcing then into an unnatural state. But when the time calls...to be a great event photographer you have to interact with you subjects giving them licence to be energetic, wild and free so that you can capture the fun and excitement of the event. The skill comes down to knowing when to do which.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I want to understand what it is that they what to achieve as sometimes people may have a clear concept of what they're looking for and may have trouble articulating it, or maybe they don't have an idea what they want; both of which are fine.
My job as the Photographer is the collaborate with the client to firstly come to an understanding of what it is that they want to capture.
What do you love most about your job?
That's simple, working creatively with people and collaborating to create something new.
What inspired you to start your own business?
You only have one life. I have experience and an passionate so why not?
