I am very glad I chose SBI Blind installtions products Ltd. They have shown exemplary professionalism from the ordering of a new awning and a door canopy to their installation. The installer guys (Dominic and John), were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. They showed me very helpfully how to work the remote, use the manual handle in case the motor broke down and how to change the batteries on the high wind closure function. Since the installation I noticed a leak from the door canopy after a shower of rain. James got back to me the next day after I had reported the issue and the company secretary ‘phoned shortly afterwards to arrange a date for them to come and fix the problem so their after sales service is equally impressive. Excellent Service Following the failure of our old patio awning I searched for a company able to repair it. I found Sun Blinds Installations on a Google search. I explained the situation, following an email discussion and sending photos to their agent Dave, he suggested that given the age and condition of the awning and the work needed to restore it that it might be more cost effective to consider a new replacement. He suggested a suitable replacement and sent us specifications and a catalogue of available materials. We were happy to agree to his suggestion and were sent by email an order form which we completed and returned. We paid the 50% deposit which was quickly acknowledged by James at the head office who thankfully coordinated everything. James arranged a surveyor to visit shortly afterwards and another John visited to take the necessary measurements and offered some constructive advice on the finer points of our requirements. He also brought with him a book of patterns to confirm our selection which was very helpful in being able to view our choice from various angles both from inside and outside the house. Following his visit we only had to wait about four and a half weeks before having an installation date confirmed. On the day of installation John and his colleague Mark arrived on time and quickly set about dismantling the old awning and soon had the new awning fixed in place. They tested it and made the necessary height adjustments to clear our hanging baskets. During the whole installation process John and Mark were very efficient and happy to answer our questions as they worked. On completion of their work they made sure that the patio was cleared of all debris including using a dustpan and brush to clear the brick dust caused by their drilling and fixing work. Before they left Mark made sure that we understood the awning’s operation and routine maintenance and care. They also removed the old awning. The new awning is manufactured to a very high quality with a very quiet electric motor. It is easy to operate with the supplied remote control with a magnetic cradle which John kindly fixed inside our kitchen for easy access. The awning also has LED lights in the arms and brilliantly illuminates our patio making it much more usable after dark. It is also supplied with a manual winder so that it can be retracted only if there is a power cut. Overall we are very impressed with the product. I would like to recommend Sun Blinds Installations to anyone considering purchasing an awning, everybody we dealt with was courteous, knowledgeable about the product, and considerate of our needs and concerns. Just a slightly belated thankyou to the team at SBI for a great experience throughout the installation process of our Glass Verandah. Initially dealt with Pat in the office to get the ball rolling with a quotation all went smoothly. The install team Dominic, John, Mark and Rob were all punctual polite and couldn't do enough for us. Nothing was too much trouble. Despite a small issue with some of the bulbs in the lighting not working the lads came back and put new ones in. We are a small family run business that has been trading since 1998. Our lead installer has been in the awnings, blinds, and shutters industry for over 35 years. Our company is a full member of the BBSA British Blinds & Shutters Association. We have 5 million pounds of public liability insurance in place. SBI is one of the few companies that will carry out servicing, repairs, refurbishment to all types of awnings and canopies.

Yes, we can provide quotes via email. In most cases, our potential customers will send us pictures and videos of the area that they want our products to go to.
Our team of friendly advisors will discuss what is required then work out the cost of the work.
Once the cost is agreed on a deposit is paid and the survey and installation date can be booked.
Most of our products are delivered directly to our customers and then our installation team call round a few days later to expertly install the products.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Our surveyors and installers will wear face masks and use sanitizers. Most of our work is carried out on the exterior of the home or business so contact can be kept to a minimum or avoided completely.
Awning servicing and fault diagnosis
Servicing and cleaning your awning outer framework
SBI provide an on site inspection of your existing awning/s.
Test the awnings inward and outward limits are correct and adjust them if not.
Leveling the awning or adjusting the pitch up or down if required, the optimum pitch is 14 degrees.
Cleaning the awning outer framework and rain gutter if your awning has one.
Check cassette or weathertop is intact and if not tighten or replace screws.
Inspection of installation brackets test and tighten coach bolts.
Inspection of internal retaining bolts test and tighten.
Lubricating relevant moving parts and arm pivot joints/elbows.
Check that motor or manual gearbox is working normally.
Check and clean any sensors, sun, wind, vibration and rain where applicable.
Check any remote control or wall switch is working correctly.
Confirm what replacement parts are required if any and advise accordingly.
On completion of of the service we will provide you with a certificate to confirm that the work has been completed and detail if any additional parts were required and installed.
We recommend that commercial awnings are serviced and cleaned every 1-2 years and domestic awnings every 2-3 years depending on usage.
Awning installations

Most installations are completed within a couple of hours and our experienced installers will set the pitch and check that the awning works properly.
We install both manual and electric awnings.
