I've been getting guitar lessons from Ron for a few months now and couldn't be happier. I'm a self taught guitar player and wanted a few lessons to help round out my knowledge. Lessons are always fun and relaxed but are on the edge of pushing my ablities for steady progress. Ron seems to have an endless knowledge of the guitar and has a fantastic ability at explaining concepts/ideas in a way that is easy to understand. I would be more than happy to recommend Ron to anyone that is wanting to learn the guitar or expand there knowledge. More...

I started my daughter with Ron in the summer and couldn’t be more pleased with the progress she has made in a short space of time. His calm and professional teaching style is developing her into a skilled lead guitarist. She has had confidence problems playing in front of others and issues with timing which have greatly improved and she is now working towards a qualification in guitar and bass. Ron also has a huge amount of resources online to supplement student learning. My only regret is not starting lessons sooner. More...

I was only a student of Ron's for a short time due to personal circumstances, but even in that short time I learned so much! He is a very good teacher who takes time for you to learn in a way that you feel comfortable with. He also has options for learning at home along with his classes so you can improve even faster. I highly recommend his classes to people of any level who want to learn the guitar. More...

Ron has guided me a number of guitar grades with the London College of Music ,each grade I have passed with distinction which is in no small part due to his excellent tuition ,currently I am studying and will sit my ALCM (Associate of the London College of Music) this summer with a view to then sitting my LLCM (Licentiate of the London College of Music ) . I would recommend Ron to any players or potential players who would like to expand their knowledge of guitar ,I personally have choosen a more academic root but Ron will cater for all levels and all styles from beginner to advanced More...

Most importantly, we have a good laugh in lessons making them a pleasure despite some seriously challenging practice that pushes you just enough for real and consistent progress without frustration. I've had a Yamaha RBX 460 bass guitar for many many years and always promised myself that, one day, I'll learn to play it. ....I got a couple of books, checked out YouTube and online bass tuition sites and basically copied some lines by tab. I did a Google search for tutors locally and Ron's classes popped up. I chose one to one tuition cos I like to ask questions and also like the instant feedback. Three lessons in and what a difference already! Now my practice is focused on technique and identifying the notes on the fretboard and this adds a new dimension. Don't let my photo fool you, I may be chronologically in my late 60's but, inside I'm still a 19 year old klutz! Ron's patient and encouraging teaching style has given me new found confidence that I will, indeed, be able to rock the bass sooner than I'd thought possible. 👍 More...

He has a very pleasant manner and is very professional in his approach to teaching. Clearly a very experienced musician and tutor with a huge passion for playing guitar and bringing out the best in his students no matter their ability. What do you love most about your job?
The "show me how you have got on" part at the beginning of each session. Hearing the improvement from the students when they play and show off their improvement is fantastic
What inspired you to start your own business?
My love of the Guitar, I wanted to help so many others experience the joy of playing an instrument. It is not about just learning for yourself, it is about being able to sit and get lost in your own music, playing in front of friends and family in a small gathering, or going out and playing to an audience and watching them dance, sing along with you.
Why should our clients choose you?
I don't just Teach Guitar, I do far more. The student learns what is required to play, learns how to practise and use this information. They are coached on how to look at their own playing and work out what is holding them back and eliminate this from their playing. They are mentored on how to develop into a fully accomplished musician. This knowledge is transferrable into other aspects of their life and supports them on becoming successful people outwith playing the guitar
