Fantastic experience with this company, I tried several others for quotes and never even received a call back. By contrast, I had a call straight back from Advanced Damp, a surveyor on the day after, a quote the day after that and an offer of a Saturday appointment the same week.

I was blown away by the service from Advanced Damp. They called back a couple of hours after I got in touch over the website, sent a person to measure the damp the very next morning and I had a report the day after. The workmen who delivered the job the following week were friendly and courteous, kept me totally in the loop about what was going on, and tidied up after themselves. Honestly, a pleasure to work with! We needed help with wood rot for our house. Requesting a quote was easy, they visited the next week and gave honest and expert advice on what was needed, how to ensure guarantee and the best way we could help prepare for the treatment. Excellent experience with Bianca who conducted the surveys in the flat we currently rent. She was extremely professional, very friendly and always on time. She spotted exactly where the dampness came from and then took time to perfectly explain how this issue would be sorted which was very reassuring. Advanced Damp carried out an extremely professional, trustworthy and reliable damp proofing service. As a new homeowner, I was quite overwhelmed with the damp I had noticed in several areas of my house and put off the issue for quite some time. I wish I hadn't, because it was very to book a survey with Advanced Damp and they immediately got to the root of the problem. After I had my gutters cleaned, Advanced Damp applied damp proofing to the worst affected area, and I no longer have to listen to the rain with anxiety! The damp upstairs was diagnosed as a condensation issue, which could be managed with a dehumidifer - no unnecessary treatments were recommended. The team who applied the damp proofing downstairs were speedy, polite, professional, and helpfully covered up my furniture to protect it from dust. Appalling service from this company. I paid in advance for a surveyor’s report to find out the cause of the mould and damp in the bedroom. A surveyor visited the property, but I did not receive the report until two weeks later, despite being promised it 4 days later. During the two weeks of waiting for the report to materialise, I chased Advanced Damp, who blamed the delay on two days of postal strikes - providing no explanation for why they could not use an alternative service such as Evri or even email! I finally got the report when I advised I would have to take further action. Advanced Damp then claimed they had in fact sent me the report the week earlier (I have no evidence of this). I asked why they hadn’t told me that and received no response. I asked them to forward me the email showing they had sent it, and received no response. Furthermore, I received no apology for how I was treated. They even went as far as to say THEY were getting stressed, showing no understanding of how stressful an untreated water ingress and damp situation is in your home during winter. In addition, I was effectively accused of wasting THEIR time by calling and asking for the report. Working with Advanced Damp has been a complete waste of time and money. The £240 paid for the surveyor’s report was supposed to be refunded against the cost of remedial work, however there is no way I would use this company again. More...

Very unprofessional. Confirmed will do the job for £2000 (agreed a date) provided I get my tiler to remove the floor. Today when I asked for contract said the price has increased to £2180. Its a newly formed company and it seems that they do not have much experience. Only advised me to do walls and my plasterer who is a builder himself said that liquid membrane needs to be put on floor otherwise I will conitnue to have the problem of rising damp. Avoid ! More...
