I have been looking for an exotic bird for awhile, I went online to see pet shop that had these pets, unfortunately there's not that many but Adlington pets came up and was surprised how many birds they'll had. Came from longridge to Adlington pet shop and yes absolutely would recommend anybody looking at getting a pet to use this shop. Chris one of the staff with decades of experience approached us to see if he could help. There was no hard sell which I appreciate. Anyway we came out with a lovely quaker parrot and a lovely cage. Chris also let us handle the parrot and how to hold and stroke. To end this review I would highly recommend this pet shop not only for the variety of pets but the knowledge and patience of the staff is fantastic. Oh and you can phone at anytime if there's a problem. Thank you to the staff and especially Chris for all his knowledge 😊🐦 More...

what a beautiful place to buy a well cared for pet,we bought a beautiful yellow naped amazon parrot whom we called Lola she is the most gentle quirky bird,we love her so much. The people who work here put so much time into her shes marvellous. There are lots of birds for sale on alot of sites but these ppl go the extra mile to ensure you get a healthy well socialised bird (waiting eagerly for another to join our family) We traveled to get her and so glad we did shes stolen our hearts 💕 More...

me and a friend popped in today (never been before), what an amazing shop with such a wide variety of food, cages, toys, stands, animals and more ! ! brilliant prices especially on all the parrot enrichment and natural treats for dogs (also the first shop I've found that sells hand rearing formula for birds), the staff are all so lovely and the cages are so clean even with the baby birds throwing things around, thanks again all (also for guiding us to all the charity shops 😂) More...

It was our first time visiting here as we were looking for a new addition to our bird family after recently losing our budgie. The reviews looked good so we travelled from Warrington and decided to buy our budgie from here. All the animals looked well looked after, the cages were clean, the whole set up was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful and they also had a very good stock of items and food for animals. Our little feathered friend is settling in very well and within 4 days he's sitting on my shoulder and preening my eyebrows! We will certainly come here again and would most certainly recommend! A great Independant store with staff who love what they do. I’ve been here 3 times researching Budgies (never had a bird) they advised me on absolutely everything and didn’t even pressure me to buy from there. Got absolutely everything I needed cheaper than online anyway, and most importantly the budgie. A few of the staff helped advise me each time I called in. First a woman who explained what she wished she knew about budgies before getting hers- both pros and cons, and which type are best for my situation. Then a fella (I think the owner) helped me and the kids choose the perfect one for us, on the day. Went for lunch then collected him- and the man who did the hand over again made sure I had everything I needed and demo’d everything including how to handle, how to gradually tame etc. All of the staff offered ongoing support which is amazing as there’s loads I’ll prob need to know. Absolutely no pressure here just a team who love their animals, know loads about them, and teach you in a non judgey way so they know the pets go to good homes. Our little Harold the Budgie is a belter, can see how looked after they are there. Thanks to their advice I feel confident now with him Thank you 🙏 💕 More...
