We had a flood in our house and our Insurers rang two days before the builders were due to start the work and said we needed the bed removed from our bedroom, I rang Purdie and they came to the rescue immediately. Exceptional service from start to finish!This was our first time using a removal company, as the sheer amount of stuff we had accumulated over the years felt too overwhelming to move ourselves. After getting quotes from three different companies, we chose Purdie and we are so glad we did.The initial surveyor was incredibly professional and clearly knew his stuff. He explained everything honestly, which immediately built our trust that our belongings would be in safe hands.The execution was flawless: Day 1: The team arrived exactly on time and worked with mind-blowing efficiency. The majority of our house was packed by early afternoon. Everything was carefully labeled and properly secured, resulting in zero damages. Day 2: Packing was completely finished before 11:00 AM. This gave us the perfect, stress-free window to do our final cleaning without rushing. We suffered a long delay waiting for our new keys, which we didn't receive until after 3:00 PM. Despite this, the team waited patiently with us and jumped straight into action the moment we got access. From initial enquiry to moving day everything was flawless. Craig and Adam turned up on time and treated our belongings as if they were their own. The lads we had were outstanding, Luke, Stevie and Jason they turned up as promised and they worked like trojans both at our old house and with the moving a lorry full of our stuff into our new home with no complaints and everything went where it was supposed to despite some of it not having been labelled by us! What inspired you to start your own business?
My Grandfather started Matt Purdie & Sons back in 1960 originally as a Coal Merchant. He supplied the local towns with fuel for their fires with his modest coal truck.
Ever the gentleman, Matt was kind enough to start ferrying furniture on the back of his coal lorry, for those looking to move house or small goods.
