The guys that Purdie’s sent to move us from Killin to East Kilbride were excellent. They were extremely efficient and helpful nothing was too much trouble. During the second day when they moved our belongings into to our new house we had major problems obtaining the keys. They showed great patience and were extremely efficient in moving us in once the keys arrived. If you are using Purdie (which we recommend ) if you can ask for Darren and his mate (sorry i don’t remember his name) to do your move do so. We can’t recommend them highly enough. More...

Exceptional service from start to finish! This was our first time using a removal company, as the sheer amount of stuff we had accumulated over the years felt too overwhelming to move ourselves. After getting quotes from three different companies, we chose Purdie and we are so glad we did.The initial surveyor was incredibly professional and clearly knew his stuff. He explained everything honestly, which immediately built our trust that our belongings would be in safe hands. The execution was flawless: Day 1: The team arrived exactly on time and worked with mind-blowing efficiency. The majority of our house was packed by early afternoon. Everything was carefully labeled and properly secured, resulting in zero damages. Day 2: Packing was completely finished before 11:00 AM. This gave us the perfect, stress-free window to do our final cleaning without rushing. We suffered a long delay waiting for our new keys, which we didn't receive until after 3:00 PM. Despite this, the team waited patiently with us and jumped straight into action the moment we got access. They unpacked everything efficiently and rebuilt all the furniture we had agreed on.Purdie took all the stress and pressure off our shoulders. We cannot recommend them highly enough! More...

What do you love most about your job?
Something different every single day, no two days are the same.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My Grandfather started Matt Purdie & Sons back in 1960 originally as a Coal Merchant. He supplied the local towns with fuel for their fires with his modest coal truck.
Ever the gentleman, Matt was kind enough to start ferrying furniture on the back of his coal lorry, for those looking to move house or small goods.
Why should our clients choose you?
At Purdie Worldwide our core values are the fundamental beliefs and principles that shape our behaviour and actions. As a Dependable Family Business we treat all our employees and customers as if they were a member of the family themselves as we recognise that no two moves are ever the same and each deserves individual care and attention.
By offering Professional Services on time, every time, we ensure our High Standards are met in accordance with the British Association of Removers. Our team at Purdie Worldwide is comprised of 90% Local Employees, who are trusted and respected in the local community, in turn reducing any late starts due to everyone living within a 5-mile radius of Purdie HQ.
From time to time we do encounter a few difficult situations such as a sofa too big for a door, however, using our years of experience and utilising our core value of Embrace, Adapt & Success our staff are trained to accept any change in the circumstances of a job, adapt to suit the new specification and ultimately succeed in ensuring the job continues smoothly and to a high standard.
Lastly, but most importantly, the core value that has been with us from the very beginning – Handle with Care…Anywhere!
