What we love most about our job is transforming ideas into spaces that truly work for the people using them. From the first conversation through to seeing a completed space come to life, it’s incredibly rewarding to translate a client’s vision into a thoughtful, functional, and beautifully designed environment.
We also love the collaborative nature of interior design, working closely with clients, craftspeople, and suppliers to solve problems creatively and deliver something unique. No two projects are ever the same, and that constant variety, combined with the impact good design can have on how people feel and work in a space, is what makes our role so fulfilling.

We were inspired to start our own business after working together at a previous design practice where the work ethic had become toxic and, over time, took the joy out of what should be a creative and fulfilling profession. Interior design is meant to be inspiring, collaborative, and energising, and we both felt that had been lost.
After Covid, we took the opportunity to reset and build something of our own, grounded in the values we truly believe in. We wanted to create a studio with positive energy, mutual respect, and a genuine passion for design, both for our clients and for ourselves.
That ethos is reflected in our name. Orka roughly translates from Swedish as “energy”, which perfectly represents how we approach our work: with enthusiasm, creativity, and intention. We believe good energy leads to better ideas, stronger collaboration, and ultimately, better spaces.

With experience across both residential and commercial projects, we balance creativity with practicality, delivering designs that not only look beautiful but function seamlessly in everyday use. Above all, we are passionate about what we do, and that passion shows in the care, detail, and energy we bring to every project.

We can and have successfully completed projects remotely. As with any project we would begin with a free 30 minute video call to discuss your design needs, and how we can help out. We would ask for photos of the area you'd like designing and some rough measurements to be sent over. From here we can provide the necessary design presentation you need, to help maximise the potential of your space.
