We booked a taxi for airport transfer well in advance as we had a bad experience with another company earlier in the year. From the moment I accepted the quote, their correspondence was excellent confirming via email my booking and the booking details and also supplying me with a copy of that when I lost the original email. I was contacted the day before we were due to go to the airport to confirm that the Taxi would be coming to the booked addresses at the correct time. I then received a text message from the driver with their name and expected time of arrival for picking us up. The taxi was in immaculate condition and the journey over there was unhurried comfortable and got us to the airport well on time. Coming home our flight was delayed by two hours and I had already received a text message confirmation telling me who the driver was and that they would be coming to pick us up at the booked time and information as to where to find the driver and the taxi once we left the airport. Unfortunately for the taxi driver bless him, whose name was James. had to wait two hours because there was no way of contacting him to let him know that the flight hadn’t taken off on time but the drive home at 2 o’clock in the morning was absolutely fantastic. Again the Taxi was immaculate & the spa music he played as we drove home in the wee small hours was so relaxing we all fell asleep and his driving was very safe and smooth - a total professional! This is a brilliant taxi service they have been driving myself and colleagues to boston hospital from grantham for nearly a year. They drivers are all polite and punctual. We have used Optima-Taxis several times, for both local and longer runs. Their vehicles are always immaculate and we appreciate the small extra touches like refresher towels and a bottle of water for each passenger, particularly welcome after arriving after a long flight. They are always on time and the driving is silky smooth.On Monday Optima-Taxis picked up my daughter, son-in-law and their 7-month old daughter from central London after they self-isolated in London for 10 days. I had been concerned that all their luggage would not fit but Walter came round to my house for a 'dummy run' with some empty suitcases.The taxi arrived exactly on time. Walter loaded all the luggage (5 large suitcases, 2 roll-ons, baby stroller, travel cot etc etc) into the back of his new Merc 8 seater and a couple of hours later they were in Grantham.I whole-heartedly recommend Optima-Taxis for their vehicles, driving, service and competitive pricing.
