We couldn’t have been happier with the quality of service and support from Northumbria Kitchens. Vivian went out of her way to source the products we needed and because if her sources and links to companies was able to provide these significantly cheaper than we would have done had we gone elsewhere. Hence the effort with a detailed review. We took time to check the product codes together to make double sure we were on the same page which we do whenever we order costly items. Her advice was invaluable too ensuring we got the right products to suit our kitchen style and function and I am so grateful for this - the colours/combinations she suggested were so much better than my original ideas. She really knows what she’s talking about after years designing kitchens. Added to this she was proactive, responsive and able to get what we needed faster than anticipated. She took considerable trouble to make sure everything got to us on time for the fitting despite relatively short notice from our side - even delivering some products personally.I must admit there was one negative review that gave us pause for thought before we went with Northumbria Kitchens but I am glad we trusted our own judgement and all the other positive reviews. I had a fantastic experience at Northumbria Kitchens! They have a lovely showroom that is well worth a visit if you need inspiration, and Kirkharle Courtyard itself is a great spot, too. We just needed a standalone unit rather than a full fitted kitchen. The staff were very friendly and genuinely happy to help. We were spoilt for choice and given great advice on what would work best with our current kitchen. We are very happy with the piece, it's beautifully crafted. A great local business! More...

UNTRUSTWORTHY.After three months of misunderstandings the owner offered us the option of cancelling our agreement along with a full refund of our deposit. We accepted. Unfortunately it has taken us four and a half months to recoup our money (via our bank may I add).Northumbria Kitchens failed to process any refund and stopped communications with us shortly after.Not an experience I would ever like to go through again.In response to your reply: To clarify, our bank managed to retrieve part of our deposit from you in Nov 25. The remaining part was paid to us in Jan 26 by way of compensation from our bank as they advised us they too had received no response from your company. Think it is perfectly obvious why we accepted your somewhat fictitious offer of a full refund back in Aug 25. More...

We are very pleased with the design work carried out by Northumbria Kitchens, who designed the Kitchen with great care and showed great initiative. The work carried out was fairly complex and was manufactured by a company which had been established for quite some time. I was able to visit the manufacturer during the process which was very thoughtful. I must say the design and completed Kitchen fitted to the millimetre. Avoid Avoid Avoid!!!We paid the owner, directly in full, for the supply and installation of a bespoke kitchen, including worktops and appliances. Over a year later, we have only received the kitchen units.The owner admitted that she no longer had our money to pay the supplier. She misled us by not using our funds to pay the supplier. She was untruthful to obtain large amounts of money from the very start of our contract by suggesting the kitchen was in production when it was not. She eventually found some cash to pay the supplier of the kitchen but unfortunately didn’t provide the worktops, appliances or fitting (which we paid for).This experience has caused us months of worry and stress. We had to recover our missing money from our bank. Based on our experience, I strongly advise others not to engage this business. More...

We discovered Northumbria Kitchens on a visit to Kirkharle and were impressed by the quality of the kitchens. We had been thinking of a new kitchen for some time and arranged for Vivienne to come for a home visit. She was full of ideas, suggestions and solutions to problems with layout.It took a few weeks for work to begin but Joe, our fitter, was always on time, diligent and a pleasure to have around. Vivienne kept her finger on the pulse and did a few home visits to make sure we were happy and to answer any questions that arose. We did experience a couple of delays but this was down to the supplier and Vivienne was soon on to them. She expected nothing less than perfection.The experience on the whole was very positive and we are delighted with our new kitchen. There is an old saying about the proof of the pudding… My wife said I should wait until I had tasted the proof before I wrote the review. I have to say – delicious! Vivian has been so flexible and helpful over the period and has kept in touch throughout. She visited us on several occasions to confirm measurements as the building work progressed, and tweaked plans to accommodate changes and has been really flexible when the schedule changed. It has taken a while to get to our finished kitchen, because of the scale of the building work we had to do, but it has been worth the wait. Over the 9 months it has taken, at times I felt like giving up, but every time I did, Vivian was there with encouragement and a friendly ‘it will be worth it in the end’, and she was right. From the initial meeting to the final fit, Vivian has done all she could to provide us the best kitchen she could for the budget we had. Her drive and passion to get things just so is fabulous, and combined with Joe, who spent time and effort to make things perfect when it came to fitting, it’s not surprising the end result is as good as it is. At the time we were in the early stages of planning a kitchen/diner and utility extension and all we had with us was the architect's plans. Having had experience of other well known North East kitchen companies and having travelled as far down as Harrogate to view showrooms we were immediately struck by how warm, friendly and helpful Vivian was. From the beginning she could not do enough and tried her best to provide guidance whilst sticking to the brief, within the budget we had set for both a kitchen and utility. Vivian was constantly accessible by phone, text, email as well as visiting the site on a regular basis. She was able to deliver exactly what we had requested at a fair price and after what was a complex build, both rooms have been fitted and are nearly ready to be enjoyed. The quality of the furniture is excellent and Joe, her kitchen fitter worked very diligently and professionally, hand in hand with our building contractor, doing his best to ensure we got what we requested. Just thought I would drop you a line as we've now had the new kitchen for a few months so we can fully assess and appreciate how much of an improvement it is.
While we knew pretty much what we wanted in terms of layout and style, your guidance on the selection of the actual kitchen units and accessories and your suggestions on various details were extremely helpful and welcome and we are now seeing the practical benefits.
We always expected that full replacement of our kitchen and utility room would be a time consuming and disruptive project, however, your work planning and supervision were excellent and the contractors that you used were exceptionally good ...... a special mention though for Joe who, as the kitchen fitter, was always the focal point and he was brilliant.
The guys all worked well together and were happy to fit in with their respective elements of the project and also with the two local contractors that we personally appointed for wall tiling and decoration. At times it was a bit of a building site but they all respected our property and worked long hours (thanks again Joe) to get the project completed as soon as possible

Worst customer service ever. Got a quote on 1/17 no body ever showed, my next door neighbor received a thank you for referral card and still after 2 phone calls nobody showed.
