What do you love most about your job?
What I enjoy most is the moment when something a client has been putting off suddenly feels manageable. Wills and estate planning can seem complicated or rather daunting, but usually, once we sit down and talk through what someone actually wants to achieve, things become much clearer.
Every family is different, and I particularly enjoy finding the right solution for those individual circumstances. At the end of the process, I want my clients to feel relieved that it is sorted, confident that they understand what they have put in place, and reassured that the people they care about are protected.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I came to will writing after a long career in other industries and wanted to build a business around the sort of service I would want to receive myself: personal, straightforward and unhurried.
Estate planning is an unusually personal subject. People are talking to me about their families, children, relationships, homes and what they want to happen after they die. I don't think that should feel like buying a document online.
I started Nest Wills so that I could take the time to understand each client properly, explain their options in ordinary English and provide professional estate planning at sensible, transparent prices.

I'm a Member of the Society of Will Writers and hold the Society's SWWEPP Wills and Estate Planning qualification. I am professionally insured and provide fixed, transparent fees, so you'll know what the work will cost before proceeding.
Most importantly, I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I'll take time to understand your family circumstances, property, wishes and concerns before recommending what you actually need — whether that's a straightforward Will, Mirror Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney or more detailed estate planning involving Trusts.

Yes. I work with clients remotely throughout the United Kingdom by telephone, video call and email, so the whole process can be completed without needing to travel.
For clients in Oundle and the surrounding area, I am also very happy to arrange face-to-face appointments. Some people prefer sitting down together around a table, while others find telephone or video appointments more convenient — I'm equally comfortable working either way.
