How long have you been in business?
Over 20 years. MyHome Lifestyles has been placing professional housekeepers and domestic cleaners with families across Surrey and Sussex since the early 2000s.
In that time we have placed hundreds of household professionals — full time, part time, live-in, live-out, housekeeper-cook and everything in between. We know the local area, we know what good looks like, and we have the experience to match the right person to the right home. That depth of knowledge is something you cannot buy and cannot fake.
Do you bring your own equipment and supplies?
Our cleaners and housekeepers are self-employed professionals. They can bring their own professional cleaning products and equipment, or use what you have at home — whichever you prefer. We agree this with you at the outset so there are no assumptions either way. Many clients prefer their cleaner to use the products already in the home; others prefer a fully equipped professional. Both work perfectly well.
What do you love most about your job?
The phone call when a client tells us their housekeeper has become indispensable. That the house feels different — calmer, better managed, properly looked after. After 20 years, that never gets old.
We work with exceptional people on both sides: the families who trust us with their homes, and the professionals who trust us to represent them. Getting that match genuinely right — not just filling a vacancy — is what we care about. It is a privilege to do this work and we take it seriously every single time.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I just wanted to provide the highest quality services which I could not find. It was difficult to get the reliability, work ethic and skills, so I set out to make our service the very best at an affordable price. We take time sourcing, interviewing the candidates that have all the qualities we know our clients want. I am inspired by success, delivering a quality service, with outstanding housekeepers, Nannies and Cleaners who love the work they do, this shows from the moment you meet them at the introduction, through to creating an organised, sanitised beautifully finished home for you to come back to and enjoy, knowing this is taken care of every week.
Why should our clients choose you?
Because we do not send you whoever is available. We find the right person for your home.
Every cleaner and housekeeper on our register is personally interviewed by us, holds a DBS certificate, and has had their references verified — we speak to previous employers directly, not just tick a box. Before any introduction, we visit you at home for a free consultation to understand your routines, your preferences and exactly what you need.
You will always have the same cleaner. You will meet them before the first visit. And if it ever does not work out, we will find a replacement — that is our guarantee.
