Hi. I’m Mike, a qualified coach.
Over the last two years, I have supported many clients to implement serious change into their lives by coaching them away from alcohol use.
I trained to become a counsellor five years ago and have in the last 18 months completed my Diploma in Coaching and Positive Psychology with ARTA.

After months in residential rehab, I still relapsed after 13 days. Albeit, it was for two days, I went straight back into residential rehab the day after, to try my upmost hardest to become alcohol free.
I came back home knowing I needed something different to help me sustain an alcohol free life. I had the foundations, but not the stability, nor the mindset, and what I now know…. the tools for an alcohol-free life.
Working with Mike gave me the guidance, wisdom, and support I was missing. when I doubted myself Mike gave me the tools and mindset shifts to reset, refocus, and move forward.
He doesn’t just coach performance, he builds resilience in you that lasts.!!! His positivity teaches you that failure isn’t the end, it’s feedback. It’s how we learn. It’s how we grow.
He helped me rebuild my mindset, not just my sobriety.
Today I’m happy, healthy, and present. The depressed, isolated alcoholic I once was feels like a different person.
And most importantly, I got the true relationship with my 8 year old son back. Not just to be physically present for him, but to be best friends.
If you’re on the fence about giving Mike and his coaching business a go, take the step. It could change your life like it changed mine. Do the 100 day programme and see how much clearer you begin to think. Mike has completely reshaped my relationships and the way I approach challenges and stress, which has in turn made me so much happier in my relationships, career, and life.

Mike helped me finally break the “Groundhog Day” cycle I’d been stuck in — waking up determined not to drink, then feeling a switch flip in the late afternoon and doing it anyway.
Before working together, I felt scared of failing (and honestly thought I was doomed to keep drinking), but the 100-day structure and Mike’s support meant I didn’t feel alone at the exact time my triggers hit. The check-ins, the real accountability, and having someone who understood introverted, at-home drinking made the difference.
Over 100 days I realised the numbing I was chasing simply wasn’t worth the payoff — the negatives were too big. The results have been massive: better sleep without the 2am anxiety, more headspace (no constant mental bargaining), and a level of pride and confidence I didn’t think I could feel. Physically I’m healthier too: my resting heart rate dropped from 72 to 63, and I lost over half a stone without dieting.
If you’re on the fence: it’s normal to be afraid — but it’s so worth it. If I can do it, you can too.

Mike helped me understand my relationship with alcohol more deeply and it was great that he held me accountable with texts in between sessions.
It was the beginning of me really getting to grips with becoming alcohol free and discovering the benefits of sobriety. I’m now over 100 days AF!

I came to work with Mike since I was struggling to quit drinking, and I wanted to find out if AF coaching could help me.
We had around ten meetings together.
From the first meeting I felt I could trust Mike. I found it easy to open up to him about even the most painful things, and Mike was really the only person I could be 100% honest with.
Mike helped me shift my focus away from shame and guilt and pay attention to small successes, learning opportunities and towards the future. He was very solution-oriented and we turned over as many stones as we possibly could to find answers.
Even though I was not able to quit with the methods he had to offer, I found our cooperation beneficial. Mike taught me to focus on the positives and he continuously reminded me to pay attention to what kind of language I use when I talk to myself.
I found our discussions very meaningful, and after the sessions I always got something new to think about. He helped me stay motivated and not give up. Eventually I was ready to start medication that ended my drinking.

What do you love most about your job?
The best thing about my job is helping people achieve their goals. I love to see the growth in my clients and this is what motives me.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Giving up alcohol and seeing the improvement in my own life led me on a journey to help others in this area. In many ways it was a deeper understanding of mindset and resilience, and with my learnings from 4 years of counselling studies and 6 months studying positive psychology it seemed the perfect job for me to be able to use this knowledge to help others in these areas.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have a unique combination of coaching skills with the underpinning of counselling theory. This allows me not only to get extraordinary results with my clients but also allows me to hold my clients accountable to their goals in a empathic and supportive way with a deeper understanding of the challenges they face.
