Hello! I offer one-on-one guitar tuition in rock and pop styles, and have been teaching since 2009. I attended the Academy of Contemporary Music and have played hundreds of gigs in several bands over the years.
I teach both acoustic and electric guitar and, being left-handed myself, I can easily accommodate both right-handed and left-handed players.

Excellent tuition over 7 years - my sons went from absolute beginners to proficient. They only stopped lessons when they went travelling but will happily continue in the future

I've been having guitar (acoustic and electric) lessons over Zoom with Matthew for over a year now and really enjoying them.
He is extremely patient and brilliant at adapting lessons to your ability and preferred music.
Matthew is great at breaking things down and making them understandable. He also encourages me to 'go my own way' and explore music I like, so if I find a song I want to try he will help me figure out the chords etc.
I find the lessons very freeing compared to being at school and doing grade pieces! He also has strong knowledge of music theory. His lessons are a nice blend of playing and fun and also understanding the technical side of things.

Why should our clients choose you?
Playing music should be fun, so I keep lessons light with a focus on using the songs you enjoy as learning tools. I am also fully set up to teach left-handed students!
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Lessons are done online over Zoom. I will send you all relevant learning material as PDF files. We also keep an active Google Doc file online which is kept updated with your current goals and information on what you should be working on.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
My teaching services are now 100% online, with lessons conducted over Zoom. It works really well and is super convenient for those of us with busy schedules!
