I am a well established freelance piano and music theory teacher, concert pianist and accompanist in Sidcup, Kent.
I offer piano and music theory lessons to adults and children age 6 and up - from beginner up to Diploma level. With over 25 years experience of teaching and being a mother myself, I hope to pass on my love of playing to my students.

Piano Lessons
I had a very pleasurable half hour lesson which encouraged me to continue playing the piano and I am looking forward to my ongoing lessons with her.

Music Theory Lessons
As an adult pupil being taught by Marisa, she is warm welcoming, patient and understanding, who makes you feel relaxed at the lesson and come away with a desire to prepare for each session.

Piano Lessons
She phoned me which I appreciated. She was very helpful and encouraging. I haven’t engaged her services but I am still considering doing so on the new conservatory year.

Piano Lessons
I’ve never played the piano before and I am really enjoying Marisa’s lessons. She is kind and challenging at the same time. I am 76 and I am sure she is just as good with children as she is with me. I strongly recommend her. More...

Hi Jenny. I sent you an email and never heard back, not sure how that is failing to make contact? I'm happy to discuss further, thank you.

From the very beginning, our teacher, Marisa, has deeply understood my attitude and interest toward music. My brother Oliver and I have been learning piano from Marisa since 2013.
She supports us through the entire process of learning a piece until the moment we play live.
We would sincerely recommend whoever loves music come and join us to enjoy amazing lessons with Marisa.

What do you love most about your job?
Being able to share my passion for music with others!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I taught my own children and their friends when they were young. My teaching circle grew and grew simply by recommendation until I realised that I didn’t have to work in the office any more and could focus on teaching instead!
Why should our clients choose you?
I listen to my clients and encourage them to push themselves if possible. I follow the traditional ABRSM exam route and share my knowledge of theory, technique and performance with all my students.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
No - face to face tuition is preferred in order to demonstrate technique, positioning etc and avoids lag!
Piano lessons
I offer local piano tuition to children age 6 and up after school during term time - adults are welcome during the day. Any experience whatsoever.
I follow the ABRSM exam route with many of my students but am happy to offer a free trial lesson or have a chat in order to understand your requirements.
Music Theory
Music Theory can be a stand-alone option or addon to piano tuition.
Theory is useful to learn as it goes hand in hand with learning any instrument.
Grade 5 theory is compulsory in order to progress further and once the syllabus has been learnt, past papers are used, then timed, until the student is ready for the exam itself.
