I started learning piano and musical theatre singing with Katie when I was 10 and 11 years old.
From the very beginning, she was really kind and easy to get on with, and she made me feel comfortable straight away.
What I liked most was how she helped me build confidence while also improving my technique. She supported me through my LAMDA preparation and even helped with my vocal self-tapes when she could.

Katie has been teaching my six-year-old daughter singing since UK lockdown 1.0 (March 2020). We picked singing lessons as we needed to find an activity that we could do remotely, and singing gave us the flexibility as well as it works perfectly over Zoom.
It is the only lesson my daughter looks forward to doing in her schedule of other weekly extra-curricular activities. My daughter’s singing confidence and ability to sing (not just shout!) has improved so much since her time with Katie. Katie has hand-picked songs for her to sing and rotates them every few weeks – which she finds both fun and also challenging!
Katie has also tutored her through a few LAMDA exams which she has attained Distinctions for thanks to Kate's very talented way of coaching her through the process.
I actually think my (then) tone-deaf little girl, may actually fulfill her dreams in becoming a singer!

What do you love most about your job?
Seeing confidence grow. I love watching students be proud of themselves and seeing their skills develop overtime. I've helped students through exams, school performances and even adult theatre productions. Seeing them all progress is incredibly rewarding.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started teaching at the age of 17 and just fell in love with the joy of it. I worked for numerous schools and then when one day I was asked if I taught privately, I then thought why not. The business grew very quickly and It's continued to strive when we were all locked down.
Why should our clients choose you?
I believe having continued experience of working in the industry doesn't give me the label of 'just a teacher.' I love to cover all aspects of auditioning prep, songwriting and all sorts of genres.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
I used to visit clients in their houses when I lived in London but while I do other performance work and work remotely in my own home studio I have to keep to my teaching online.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I moved my business online in the pandemic and due to other work progressing and moving away from my original clients I kept my business online. It's been fantastic seeing it thrive and exams have also been able to switch online if a client chooses to work towards that.
