The biggest strength of my coaching is that I listen to my clients.
I've never believed in giving everyone the same training plan or diet and expecting it to work for them.
Everyone has different goals, different lifestyles, different commitments and different things they enjoy.

I honestly couldn’t recommend this gym enough. It’s more than just a place to work out, it’s a place where you feel comfortable, motivated, and genuinely supported. The atmosphere is welcoming, the equipment is great, and there’s a real sense of community that makes you look forward to coming in.What makes this gym special is the positive environment and the way it makes you want to keep pushing yourself and becoming a better version of yourself, both physically and mentally. Whether you’re just starting your fitness journey or have been training for years, you feel welcome and encouraged every step of the way.I’m genuinely grateful to be part of a gym that makes such a positive difference. If you’re looking for somewhere to train, build confidence, stay consistent, and feel good about yourself, I would 100% recommend it. More...

The guys within Kamma have been nothing short of amazing! What started out as just joining a gym very quickly became joining a family. Everyone is extremely welcoming and always an upbeat atmosphere. You also end up getting your own personal cheerleaders who celebrate your wins along with you 😊 More...

Top people who run the gym and have done exceptionally well to create such a welcoming environment. That’s reflected in the mix of ages, genders and levels of experience among the people who train at Kamma. The community they’ve built is the gym’s best attribute and says more about the place than any piece of equipment ever could. More...

How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
First and foremost, I listen.
I want to know what you're trying to achieve, what's stopped you getting there before, what you enjoy and what your day-to-day life looks like.
From there, we'll put together a training and nutrition plan that actually works for you.
But the plan is only part of it. A massive part of my job is keeping you accountable, helping you through the weeks when things aren't going to plan and making sure you're learning along the way.
I don't want my clients relying on me forever. I want them to eventually have the knowledge and confidence to look after themselves.
What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?
I wish there was a secret!
The reality is that most people already know a fair bit about what they should be doing. The difficult part is actually doing it consistently.
You don't need to train six days a week, eat chicken and rice every day or completely give up your social life.
You need a plan that suits your lifestyle, a bit of patience and the willingness to keep showing up even when motivation isn't particularly high.
I'd much rather see someone doing the basics consistently for 12 months than doing everything perfectly for three weeks before chucking it.
What do you love most about your job?
It's the people, without a doubt.
Of course, I love seeing someone lose weight, hit a big personal best or achieve something they've been working towards for months.
But some of my favourite moments have absolutely nothing to do with numbers.
It's someone telling me they've got their confidence back, they're feeling better mentally, they've got more energy for their kids or they're actually enjoying going to the gym for the first time in their life.
Those are the things that remind me why I do this job.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've always had a massive passion for strength training and fitness, but I wanted to build something that was about more than just getting people into a gym and putting them through a workout.
I wanted somewhere people felt comfortable coming into, regardless of their experience or ability.
Somewhere people could challenge themselves, have a laugh, meet good people and actually look forward to training.
That's a big part of why I built KAMMA Fitness.
I wanted to create the sort of place where people don't just get fitter and stronger, but become more confident and capable in other areas of their lives too.
Why should our clients choose you?
I think the biggest thing I can offer is that I genuinely care about the people I work with.
You're not just another name on a spreadsheet or someone I see for an hour a week.
I'll take the time to get to know you, understand your goals and work out how we can realistically achieve them.
I'll support you when things are difficult, celebrate your wins and I'll also be honest with you when I think you could be doing more.
I'm not going to promise you overnight results or tell you that everything is going to be easy.
What I can promise is that I'll put the effort into helping you, provided you're willing to put some effort in yourself.
I think that's a pretty fair deal.
1-to-1 Personal Training – Kilmarnock
I offer 1-to-1 personal training from KAMMA Fitness, my private strength and fitness gym in Kilmarnock.
Whether you're looking to lose weight, build muscle, get stronger or simply get yourself back into a routine, we'll work together to put a plan in place that suits you.
Coaching includes personalised training, nutrition guidance, regular check-ins, accountability and support outside of your sessions.
I'm a big believer that the hour you spend with me in the gym is only a small part of the bigger picture. What you do outside of the gym matters just as much, and that's something we'll work on together.
You don't need any previous gym experience, and you certainly don't need to be fit before you start. That's what I'm here for!
Online Personal Training & Nutrition Coaching
I offer online coaching for people who want to improve their health, fitness and strength but don't necessarily need or want to work with a personal trainer face-to-face.
You'll receive a training programme built around your goals, experience, available equipment and how much time you realistically have to train.
We'll also work on your nutrition, daily habits and anything else that might be holding you back.
My online coaching includes personalised training, nutrition guidance, weekly check-ins, regular feedback, accountability and ongoing support whenever you need it.
The biggest thing for me is making sure you're not just following a plan blindly. I want you to understand what you're doing, why you're doing it and how to eventually manage things for yourself.
Whether you're training from home, in a commercial gym or somewhere in between, we'll find something that works for you.
Strength Training & Strongman Coaching
Strength training is something I'm massively passionate about and an area I've spent years developing my knowledge and experience in.
From complete beginners wanting to get stronger to experienced lifters preparing for competitions, I offer coaching tailored to your current ability and what you're looking to achieve.
This can include working on your squat, bench press, deadlift, overhead press and strongman events such as atlas stones, yoke carries, farmers walks and log press.
I'm a big believer that getting stronger isn't simply about lifting heavier weights every week. There's a lot more to it than that.
We'll look at your technique, weaknesses, training history and what we actually need to improve to get you closer to your goals.
I also offer competition preparation for those looking to get involved in strongman, whether that's your first novice competition or you're looking to take things a bit further.
Coaching is available from KAMMA Fitness in Kilmarnock, where we have a wide range of strength and strongman equipment.
You don't need to be strong to get started. That's the whole point of coming!
