We would highly recommend Wagtail training. We contacted Lyn and Mike after discovering our rescue dog was reactive to other dogs, making walks very stressful for the whole family. Mike and Lyn's friendly and relaxed approach immediatley put us and Salto at ease, and their expertise was obvious from the start. The progress we have made after just 2 sessions has been incredible and Salto is already much more confident and relaxed. More...

We have two young rescue pups at home, it’s our first adventure into being a multi dog household. We have been attending the sessions with Lyn and Mike for around 2 months and have been learning a lot along side our two little dogs. We use at least 4 or 5 of their training techniques and games multiple times a day and are finding it hugely beneficial, particularly in terms of disengagement. We know it’s going to be a slow journey, not without its bumps but the support and advice we have received, both within the class and outside via email etc have been a massive help and hugely appreciated. They run a kind and caring course, where patience and understanding are key tools when working with dogs that perhaps do struggle with anxiety or fear. It’s lovely to be given the tools to help our dogs through that and to take that knowledge home where we can continue to work with them, building confidence and trust knowing that, with their guidance, we are moving in the right direction. Huge thanks to Lyn, Mike and the whole team. More...

Booked a table as meeting friends there. Restaurant quite a good size, clean with good service. Food portions were generous and reasonably priced. Small garden centre, florist & 2nd hand shop visited as well. I believe there to be a few other shops too (but cant remember what)!!! Ample parking available. More...

Ive been taking my black Labrador puppy to Wagtails for a few months now and would definitely recommend them if you are looking for a way to train your dog in a gentle positive way. They use games to teach the skills the dogs need in the big wide world, in small class sizes. This is outside, which is great because it means there are smells and distractions for the dogs to learn around. There is also a covered area for those wet days. Lyn and Mike are helpful and knowledgeable, always happy to give some extra advice where needed. More...

Lyn, Mike, Sarah & Anne Firstly thank you for all the wonderful tools you have taught Rex & I He is a new improved, confident, well behaved woofa that is no longer anxious, and has overcome a vast amount of challenges, he is no longer worried and enjoying life like a woofa should do Secondly look no further I highly recommend this wonderful team between them all there is not a problem/situation big or small these guys can’t solve. Myself and Rex enjoy our Saturday afternoon class, apart from their vast knowledge they are all so welcoming and friendly and I wish them further success in the future as they all deserve it they all work so hard Thanks again guys Claire, Rex and family xxx More...

Had very good results training my Patterdale terrier. Very good analysis of what caused certain behavioural issues and how to overcome them. Told me exactly what I was doing wrong (in a very polite, professional and personable way) and how this was causing my dog to react in a certain way. 👍 More...

I enrolled my dog in a training program, despite my concerns about his suitability for group classes. Lynn and Mike assured me he would integrate well. Unfortunately, the outcome was as I anticipated; the training did not benefit my dog and, in fact, exacerbated his behavioral issues. I had previously raised the possibility of pain contributing to his behavior, but both trainers dismissed this, stating that based on their experience with numerous dogs, they did not perceive any signs of pain. However, a subsequent assessment by a veterinary physiotherapist revealed that my dog is suffering from muscle knots and hind leg weakness. Consequently, I canceled our final session and have not yet received a refund. More...

I had such a lovely experience at Laurel Farm Garden Centre. It’s a wonderful place to shop – especially at Clara Bowe, which has such a charming selection and makes browsing an absolute pleasure. I was especially impressed with the gorgeous arrangements from The Little Flower Pot florist – so fresh, creative, and beautifully put together. That said, the main garden centre and café aren’t quite meeting the same high standard as these fantastic small businesses. Clara Bowe and The Little Flower Pot florist really shine and make Laurel Farm a destination worth visiting. 🌸 More...

Came here on the weekend. Visited the garden centre as well as the cafe. The cafe is all the way towards the back (you walk through the garden section before getting to the cafe). The cafe was very cosy and lovely. We had gotten 2 sausage rolls (definitely recommend!), cream tea, and a Victoria cake, all came to less than £20). The food was so yummy! The only downside was the cutlery and table didn’t seem to clean. Then afterwards walked around the gardening section. The staff member who helped me was very knowledgeable and helpful, really taking the time and patience to tell me everything. (I was looking for a rose bush to bury my rabbit ashes with) The prices are reasonable and the quality seems good. All in all, definitely worth visiting whether it’s for the cafe or gardening bits 😊 Thank you for a lovely time! More...

A few nice polite staff, but management lady with the glasses needs people and customer skills. Me and my partner see her patronising hard working staff and just generally speaking to them with disrespect while walking around doing nothing herself at busy points of the day We shall not be returning here which is a shame as some of the food is good.
