What’s your interior design process?
The process begins with a complimentary discovery call to discuss your project and the property. From this we can establish if we are good fit for each other and schedule a site visit. The site visit will involve a tour of the property with an open discussion about what you hope to achieve and what I can bring to the project. From this I can begin the design work providing colour schemes, technical drawings, furniture specifications, textile specifications etc.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
Intra do not have a specific style, the design is generated in response to your needs, taste and the space, a truly bespoke solution generated through understanding my clients' needs, taste and budget.
What do you love most about your job?
Every project is different, with its own challenges, by responding to you I avoid repetition which keeps each project interesting. I love sourcing retro and vintage pieces, alonside original artworks and particularly enjoy designing bespoke cabinetry.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having previously had a 20 year career in commercial photography I realised that I gained more satisfaction from renovating my houses than I got from my job. This inspired me to retrain and I gained a BA Hons from prestigious KLC School of Design. I love my job and the fresh challenges each project brings.

When choosing an interior designer most consider only the style of interior they want, a trained interior designer brings technical knowledge and experience to the project avoiding costly mistakes and truly finding the best solution for your project, particuarly in tricky spaces.

Some services can be provided online but I do feel that most projects benefit from a site visit where I can actually be in the space with the client(s).

residential interior design
As a trained interior designer I have the technical knowledge and experience to find the best solution to every space regardless of budget. I prefer to work directly with my clients, visiting the property to ensure a full and detailed understanding of what you would like to achieve.
commercial interior design
Commercial interiors require more technical knowledge to ensure that all regulations are met. As a trained interior designer I understand all the constraints and regulations of working in commercial interiors and can supply detailed working drawings for bespoke elements.
sustainability consultation
You may already have ideas for your space, but where to start making it sustainable? The research I have conducted into this area gives me a specialist knowledge and saves you weeks of comparisons and trade-offs that could end as ‘green washing’. My knowledge and experience will leave you confident that ethical decisions have been made.
vegan interior design
A natural progression from sustainability, building on the obvious approaches such as avoiding leather or fur. I research all products to ensure that even adhesives are free from animal products. You may not be vegan, but my knowledge allows ethical decision making, for animals and humans alike.
