This was the second project which Simon and his team have done for us.

As before, nothing was ever too much trouble for Simon … it seems that he will only be happy when his client is happy!

This was a very big job … refurbishing York Stone paving in three areas: our driveway, our garden patio and our riverside patio … a total area of 750 square meters!

The Grand Designs team did four things: 1) Replaced any York Stone slabs which had cracks. 2) Took up and re-laid any slabs which ‘moved’. 3) Thoroughly cleaned every slab. 4) Re-grouted between all the slabs.

Like Simon, his team were very conscientious - always willing to re-lay a newly-laid slab if it wasn’t exactly ‘level’ with the slabs it sat beside.

Our York Stone areas were originally laid over 50 years ago … and they now look as-good-as-new! More...
