We hired this contractor, but he quit midway through the job. He initially quoted £400, then raised the price to £590 after starting, claiming the patterned carpet justified the increase. We couldn’t agree to the new price. The work was left unfinished, with one bedroom partially done and another room completed but left messy, with carpet offcuts and debris scattered, and our belongings stacked around the house.
