We are experienced residential and commercial decorators, carrying out interior, exterior painting and decorating. That would include thorough or light preparation, clean-ups, or high class finishes. We are also quite capable of wallpapering and doing smaller amounts of building work.

Estimated 4 days x 8 HR per day labour 32 hrs in total for removing mould and paper off 1 wall + painting a second price £750. Did the 2 days in 5 hrs actually and charged me £525. That worked out at £105 per hour. I think because I was a disabled pensioner he took complete advantage of me. Needless to say I employed another company M.C.Painters of Gloucester to finish the job and they were excellent and couldn't do enough. I will never contact FABS Painting and Decorating again and may seek legal help in recovering part of my payment. You are quite open when you advertise painter and decorators at £25 per hour but to charge me £105 per hour that's just obscene. More...

Hi Kevin, At FABS Painting and Decorating, I always aim to handle concerns professionally and fairly, which is why I reached out to you privately to discuss this matter. As shown in the agreed invoice, the job was a fixed-price project with staged payments, not an hourly rate, so the hourly figure mentioned in your review is not accurate. The work had to be carried out in stages due to significant mould and condensation. The first stage included removing affected wallpaper, treating the mould, and allowing the walls to dry before the finishing stage. After the first stage, I checked with you, and you confirmed the walls were drying well. At that point, there was no indication of dissatisfaction, nor was I informed that another company would complete the final stage.

First of all I would like to say what a pleasure it was working with Nika from Fabs Painting & Decorating. He ensured the room was covered where necessary to prevent unwanted paint or other materials dropping on to it. He prepared the walls thoroughly before applying paint. Brilliant finish. His wallpapering was super impressive and immaculate. You could not see any of the joins and again he prepped my feature walls first. These guys have been nothing less than brilliant.
I asked for a quote, he popped around later that day to give me an accurate quote.
I agreed and the two men were here 3 days later working, what I can only describe as a miracle in the hallway.
The sanded down, caulked, protected all carpets etc and just got on with a large hallway painting job. The hallway has never looked better.
The one problem is now I'm looking at every other room thinking if I can get them back in to paint them as well.
Absolutely first class service - have already recommended them to my neighbours!
