ENERGY PIG ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was approached by this company in May 2025 they offered the reroofing of my flat roof through the government paid scheme they done the survey and after many texts and emails I was told it the scaffolders would be out then it change not once but three or four times according to the weather but the weather here was fine next it was Christmas so in January 2026 I phoned them yet again and was told yes I was definitely getting it done as they had the funding for it to my surprise the same week I got a call from a company called Heat they said my details had been passed on to them what I want to know why as Energy pig said they had been given the funding from the government to do the roof where did the funding go ?

I had intially had a very good experience with them when a lady called Caroline was involved throughout my grant application process however after she left the department it all went quickly downhill. My flat was surveyed for suitability and the grand application was approved; however when the instulation fitters arrived they said there wasnt enough room for me to get the grant (not sure why this wasnt picked up by the surveyors). Energy pig then said they would contact Ofgem to see if I could get an exemption. Months passed and no communication. I eventually contacted my MP to see if they could do anything and soon after I got contacted my Ofgem who stated that there was no such communication of Energypig on my behalf. It turns out I could get an exemption and I forwarded the details to energy pig. I got an email from David Vincent Macneill (Head of Decarbonisation & ECO) who said "Hi guys I will pick this up" - it seems he meant to just reply internally but I was included in the email. I forwarded David the information so far however this email and all emails after were ignored. Fair enough if the company do not want to help with this exemption side of things (they were the ones to contact me to say they could help me in the first place) however just let me know rather than ignore? Had a major project taken on by energy pig. Started with a response to a Facebook post that they were surveying in the area (we live on the Isle of Lewis), followed by quite a lot of messaging to check what was possible under the grant scheme, but when the work commenced the guys where charming, professional and did a great job. They worked around our family as the house was pretty full and we managed to get the whole home fitted with radiators, a boiler and airsource heat pump. Then we got the flat roof replaced and solar panels fitted. Finishing off with the upstairs insulated and replastered. STAY CLEAR!! I was advised that we would have the 1st year service carried out for free as they installed the Air source Heat Pump. However, I received a call asking for £250 payment so they can carry out the the service. First of all I was shocked at the price but proceeded to explain that I have the first one free. They told me NO and that I had to pay for it. I was told that if I didn't pay for it then my 7 year warranty will be void! I explained that I will need to shop around as I didn't know what others charged (others are much cheaper). She phoned me back a few times over the next couple of weeks as they were eager for the business. She explained that if I take our their servicing then they will fix any issues free of charge, however I now don't trust their word given that they initially told me that the first service was free. I suspect they are talking about the manufacturer coming out under the under if anything went wrong. I emailed Nicola multiple times now asking why they were not honoring the first free service but I've had. Zero response. They are quick enough to call us when there is a sale in it for them but anything other than that, they ignore their emails! Stay clear! More...

The survey team came to my house in December. I still don’t have my panels installed. No one has contacted me I always have to contact them. They can be exceptionally rude on the phone. Was unfortunate enough to have this company install solar panels and heat pump. That was the plan-they didn't turn up. The survey team were fine, helpful and efficient, installation supposed to be around January 24. Phoned to chase this up, supposedly "all ready to go", still not happening. Phoned recently, "get my manager to ring you back", never happened. Complete and utter waste of time for everyone. No doubt someone will now post a reply saying "how sorry we are about your experience, we don't understand how this happened. Rest assured we do our utmost to make sure our customers receive top quality service etc etc" Except they didn't. So if you want a job doing, get someone who has a job they want to do. Had the loft insulation done. Part of this meant I had to have trickle vents installed. Do not let these people touch your windows. They have broken my windows and now I get drafts coming in from around the vent. They cut into the window profile, cut off part of the seal on the window opening and shoved a vent there (already had one window company come around and have another Monday). All the vents are closed and my house is freezing. They did this to me on Thursday and said they'd send the joiner who fitted them on Friday. He said he'd come Monday. I don't get any condensation now but I also live in a freezing house that won't keep the heat in. No one even had the decency to contact me on Friday morning when I filed the complaint. Considering how cold it is this weekend, and how you have destroyed my windows, an email or call would have been nice. Absolutely disgusting company. We applied for cavity wall insulation through the government grant made available. David Campbell came and surveyed our house. He was brilliant, a credit to the company. He conducted himself in a friendly and professional manner throughout. Answered all my questions The survey took an hour and a half and all going well, the work will be carried out within the next few weeks. Absolutely first rate experience. I’m always anxious to deal with companies like this but Energy Pig have been amazing from start to finish. Kenny’s team especially were extremely professional, considerate, polite and their work is done to a professional standard, very neat and tidy. Today I had a cavity wall insulation and home ventilation survey carried out by David Campbell. David was very thorough in his work, spending over three hours doing all the work, letting me know what he was doing, indicating areas that would be issues, discussing the results and showing me photos of what he had found once he had completed his work. The team from ecopig ltd installed 2 air source heat pumps, new radiators throughout the house and solar panels over 5 days. It was a large job involving lifting of floors and carpets. The team was led by Josh who was very helpful,informative and obliging. All members of the team including engineers Robert and Paul kept us informed at each stage of the installation. We had an air source heat pump and new radiators installed. Josh Robert and Paul were the engineers and I found them friendly helpful and thorough. Work was carried out quickly and efficiently and all explained. They cleared up after themselves and took away all rubbish. The follow up from joiner to box in pipes was prompt and high standard. There was a problem with temp of a couple of radiators but this was resolved promptly. If there was one small thing that could have been improved, I would have liked a bit more explanation of controls for the heating and the over door heaters but I would definitely recommend this company. I had Solar Panels installed a year ago by a company from Liverpool. I had great problems with them, I noticed at Hogmanay a large damp patch on my ceiling, so I sent a complaint to my MSP, who put it into the hands of Octopus ( supplier) who called in Energy Pig. Chris and John called about 2 weeks ago, surveyed the Panels and decided they needed to be removed and the fittings removed and Replaced. On Wednesday 2nd October, 2024 Chris and John proceeded to remove the fittings, Chris took photos and made a video....stating He had Never seen such a bad and Dangerous installation. Apparently the frames had NOT been fitted to the roof and were at danger of being 'Blown Off' and causing great damage and possible Harm to People. Chris and John then set about fitting New, suitable frames and then Re-fitting the Panels properly. It was amazing to watch these Lads moving around the roof and going up and down ladders, carrying the panels. Real Professionals. When finally fitted, they proceeded to clear any 'bits and pieces' leaving the place very tidy. I cannot Thank Them Enough for Their hard work. And the pleasure they brought to my day. More...

Very pleased to provide a wholly justified 5* review following surveys today by David H & Brian (Heating) who came this morning exactly as scheduled & could not have been nicer, kinder or more helpful. Everything went very well as arranged by Laura at Octopus Eco. David H & Brian were not only extremely patient, listening very carefully & answering all questions, but did not leave until they were sure there were no more Qs & all was fully understood. Both being very thorough & professional and really inspired confidence, so could not have asked for better. Excellent service - an example of how it should be done. Thank you We understand it will be a week or two before the electrician comes to sort out the PV etc planning & then a call to run through everything to confirm the project specification, with works hopefully completed in 6-8 weeks. With winter approaching the sooner the better! So this first class Energypig experience has matched expectations of Octopus, with its very high service standards, being a first class representation of the 🐙 brand by a company they have selected to work with.
